Intro

Hey there, welcome to the first and hopefully successful 4th Gen Quiz Event! This event, will be testing your Fourth Generation knowledge and some of the questions will really have you thinking and bringing out the best of your knowledge. Essentially, it'll be a quiz with thirty questions all relating to the Fourth Generation (as a whole) or the games Diamond, Pearl, Platinum and Heartgold and Soulsilver (individually). There'll be an equal balance of questions; as in a few for HG/SS and a few for D/P/Pt.

Important Dates and Entry Details

» This event will run from the 27th of April 2013 AEST to the 4th of May, unless otherwise specified.
This date may be extended, depending on the number of participants.

» To submit your entry, please PM both [supporter]Narnia[/supporter] and Curious.. Entries posted in this thread will be deleted.

» Before we get onto what the questions are, there are a few simple rules;

• Do not post your answers in this thread.
• Please do not use a search engine to find your answers. Using sites such as Bulbapedia is considered cheating. If you don't know an answer to a question, have a guess!
• You don't have to answer all the questions. Answer as many as you wish!
• Once you submit your entry, you cannot resubmit.
  
• You may use your own copy of D,P,Pt, HG or SS to assist you in answering the questions.

26. Name a place you can get a Rare Candy in HG/SS.

27. How many in-game trades were offered in D/P/Pt?

28. What is the name of the girl who is lost in Wayward Cave in D/P/Pt?

29. What is the name of the island where you can encounter Cresselia?

30. How does Yanma evolve into Yanmega?

Those are your questions! When sending in your answers, you can do it a various number of ways.

Judging and Prizes

Now onto how judging works. Other than the usual 'who gets the most questions right', a winner will be determined by the quality of your answers. Quality can mean a number of things; your spelling and punctuation, the detail of your responses, the way you present your responses etc. Do as much as you possibly can to show you've given your best effort!

Here's the judging criteria:

• +1 point for every correct answer
  
• +0 points awarded for blank or incorrect answers.
  
• The quality of your answers will also be out of 10, giving a grand total of 40 points.
  

Ah yes prizes. Other than the satisfaction of knowing you tried your best, there will also be emblems awarded for the winner(s) and a participation emblem for everyone else! (The winner(s) will also additionally receive something somewhat special).

Sent in my answers. Honestly, I haven't played Gen IV in a while, so this is a good way to test my memory of it. I couldn't answer a few of them though, but at least I tried.

Tried my best, but sadly failed at the HG/SS questions..all the D/P/Pt questions were easy for me though, since I've replayed them countless times.

I love doing these trivia challenges! There were a couple of questions that stumped me, but all in all I think I did fairly decent, considering I couldn't find my Platinum. I've finished and sent in my answers to both the hosts.
