I tend to give most people the benefit of the doubt, but I've been stabbed in the back one too many times to really fully put my trust in anyone yet. Everyone's plotting something, sleep with one eye open yadda yadda yadda.

You go into every new human interaction with the expectation of some kind of trust. If it works out, you're rewarded with said trust.
