Do you think GF will change how Exp. Share works in these games. It's a key item so it's possible. They have changed move mechanics mid generation (Hypnosis in Gen IV got changed like twice irc), so why not an item's?

Also do you think they'll add anything to breeding to make it easier like HGSS did? Or do you think everything will stay the same as in XY. Discuss.

I'm hoping that the toggleable Experience Share (with the "Experience All" effect) from Pokemon X and Y will stay in Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, as it would help team training so much.

As for breeding, I'm hoping that the Emerald layout of Hoenn Route 117, Mauville City, and Hoenn Route 118 remain, as there is a really long horizontal path that the player could ride his/her bike across - you only have to switch directions once you reach the "ends" of both routes. I'm hoping Talonflame appears so that breeding can be expeditied quickly (in Pokemon Emerald, you had to use up 2 party slots in order to have a Flame Body Ability Pokemon like Magcargo and a Fly-compatible Pokemon in the party; Talonflame helps to consolidate both of those benefits while using only one party slot). Moreover, Desert Underpass also works well for biking long distances; maybe we'll have a small area redesigned to mimic that "Lumiose City fountain circle trick" I keep hearing about from XY...

I hope OR/AS also take a note from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum's Poketch and contain a Pedometer (which keeps track of your steps) and a "Day Care Checker" Application (provides remote/on-the-go information of the 1-2 Pokemon that are deposited in the Day Care) somehow, as both of those are very vital additions for breeding.

Finally, I hope you can manually select what Poke Ball you want the Pokemon Egg to come in - more for aesthetic purposes.

I remember the Mauville one. I got many shinies hatched because of that. The rollout guy even mentions that you can go a long way horizontally. I just hope they keep this. Flame Body is going to be totally more awesome, but I really hope they'd make it easier to get better IV'd Pokémon this time around, maybe increase the chances. Emerald introduced the EV reset berries, and they were a really big help, so why not something else?

Experience share itself has nothing to say - with the new exp mechanics training weaklings like Magikarp is going to be much easier.

Since the generation has already been established, I'm hopeful that less time will be spent operating on mechanics and more time spent on the game itself. If anything, the Experience Share would receive a bit of alteration but other than that, I imagine things would stay mostly the same. I think mechanics only get major overhauls, if any, when new generations come around and it'd be weird for games in the same gen to have hugely different mechanics, wouldn't it?

    I'm thinkin' that things will be mostly the same as in X and Y. Those two games where the first ones to treat EXP Share differently, so I can't see it changing again so soon after. However, Exp Share did make X and Y too easy, in my opinion, which will be kind of a shame for the remakes. However, it's not an obligatory item, and even if it is used and leveling is that much easier, I don't think that's what people will be focusing on for these games. xD;

IMHO the best option would be including both versions of the Exp. Share.

That way people who like curb-stomping the competition can plow through the game with the new Exp Share, and those who prefer harder challenges can turn it off and still have access to an old school Exp Share if they need it.

Yeah, if this is a Gen 6 game then I'm not expecting the mechanics to change all that much. Exp. Share is most likely going to behave exactly as it does in X/Y.

In a way it doesn't make much difference to me since I won't use it if it's the new Exp. Share.

I only used the Exp. Share in X (during the story) for about 30 minutes after I got it before turning it off and I still embarrassed the elite four and champion with a curb stomp at the end.

I'd like if they made it a post champion item, but then again I won't choose to use it during the story so it doesn't matter much to me.

I'm hoping they revert back to the old Exp. Share mechanic, it makes grinding easier but it takes the fun out of many aspects of training IMO. Not to mention that it makes the game feel much easier and faster paced, either that or at least have the option to choose between the two different mechanics.

Maybe exp share could be the old mechanic until you beat the champion, but after that it is 'upgraded' to how it was in x and y, or upgraded so you have the option to have it like that

I'm an advocate of the new EXP Share mechanic. For people that only like Pokemon that can't be found until later in the game, it's quite the tedious and annoying task to bring a wild Lv. 25 Pokemon up to the rest of your teams' caliber so that it can compete in your 8th gym battle instead of simply being death fodder. Kalos revolutionized the EXP share to somewhat fix this problem, or at least alleviate some of the issue.

I love how Exp. Share is now, and wouldn't want them to change a thing, personally. It allows us to train our Pokémon all at once, reducing time and effort we have to put into actual training. I mean, training could be fun, but once it's too much, though, it could turn out to be stressful. You're playing games to relieve stress and have fun; not the opposite. d: Some people don't like this new Experience Share, but those who don't, well, they're always able to disable it. They'd given us an option to do it, so why not?

personally, i really like how exp. share is used on x/y. i played a bit of one of the older versions with the exp. share used on pokemon and it stressed me out. especially since i wanted a pokemon i needed to be around the same level as the others around victory road. i mean, how much harm could it do to have it enabled like how it was on x.

I've never played x y yet but I am iffy on the exp share beinf like that. But it should be better with the remakes because they were a bit harder to get exp all the time l.

    What about an easy/medium/hard mode?

Easy and medium have the new experience share and the hard difficulty has the old, and you get the new one post-game for breeding. Easy npcs have no strategy, just random moves while medium has mostly strategy, but some random moves. And hard has all stragety.

I agree with you. That would be quite nice but BW2 had Hard Mode which was not a big success so I doubt GameFreak will do that. Personally I have no problems with the new Exp Share. If you are having any challenge or anything then you can just turn it off while on regular playthroughs you can keep it on.

    B/W2 had a hard mode?

And maybe have the exp share to be used during certain battles? Like during boss fights amd such?

Why wasn't it a big success? I had no idea it had a hard mode, either.

Not exactly sure why but I've heard many websites like Marriland criticizing it. The hard mode is unlocked after beating the champion.

That's dumb; after you beat the league? I'll have to check out marriland, then.
