Experiments [PG-13]

Drake looked at the playing field. He was in no condition to take out the entire attacks coming at him. He needed to think fast. His eyes noticed a lot of leftover ice melted around. He would use this. The jolted the entire ground, and it spread across all the ice and water around. He could do nothing to avoid the air attacks, but jolted the ice and water around, including that around Luphen.

Eric laughed to himself.

Luckily I'm too high up to get hit by that attack. Good job, kid.

He looked at Luphen, and he seemed to be getting exhausted. But, he was about to finish off both Aura and the Corp guy, so he decided to stay for a little while more to see what would happen.

Do it. Make their pathetic peasant lives end now. Or do I have to end them myself? Nah, I'll let this ice cold killer do the dirty job for me.

Luphen screamed in pain as the jolts of lighting hit him. When the jolts stopped, Luphen just stood there. He was fighting to stay conscious and keep his vision. The jolts of lightning had tweaked his nervous system making it hard for him to do anything. He then just looked at Drake waiting to see his next attack.

Drake was exhausted, and was hurting very badly. He didn't think he would last much longer against him. Luckily, Luphen seemed to be in just as bad shape, or maybe worse. He looked at Aura. Then looked back at Luphen. He couldn't kill him yet without risking Aura leaving, and Drake didn't want her to leave yet.

"Get...out of here." He managed to say. It wasn't Luphen's time to die, and it certainly wasn't Drake's.

Aura knew she was in no position to say anything, considering Luphen had almost killed her. But she was scared enough as it was.

"Luphen, please leave. You're in no shape to continue fighting." she didn't want either of them getting anymore hurt than they already were.

She was, of course, crying again. She hoped that Luphen would just listen and leave, he should know when he needs to quit. They all needed to.

Eric's mind was doubting whether to go and finish The Corp kid off or to stay there. If he went there, the Corp kid would give him quite a shock....maybe. He had wrapped his arms with isolating tape. He was safer. But probably not invulnerable.

Agh! What should I do? Should I finish off this peasant or should I stay here until he weakens more?

One side of him told him "Go, you will finish him off in no time. Do it."
Another side told him "Stay, don't be rash. Remembered what happened at the Diner? Don't underestimate them..."

Eric didn't know which side to listen to. He looked up at the sky and then looked down at the injured kids. He had made a choice.

"I'll take it from here" someone said hovering over to the three of them. He looked at Drake and began to strangle him again. "Didn't expect to see me again, eh?" he said as he stangled him harder. "And I hope this time your girl doesn't get in the way."

Drake replied, "This girl bought your life. I agreed not to kill you until later in exchange for he coming with me. That is why she so called 'betrayed' you. You can at least do her the courtesy of respecting her wishes, and dying later."

Drake didn't want to show it, but he was badly injured as well.

"What's the matter? DIE ALREADY!" Eric said as he squeezed his neck even harder with his telekinesis.

I doubt he'll be able to keep on breathing for long. He should pass away soon. I'm not gonna kill the girl though. I think seeing Sparky die will really scar her...

Aura watched the scene before her and screamed. She screamed like she had the day before. She didn't know what she hoped to accomplish, she just knew she needed to scream. She looked around and found that the only thing she could do, she'd done before.

Okay, I'm a repetitive person. she grabbed a rock from the ground, and threw it as hard as she could, aiming at Eric. She was glad she'd joined the baseball team last year, she had quite an arm.

Drake fell to on knee as he had the same chocking sensation as before. He wouldn't last long in this case. Luckily, and a bit to his surprise, both Aura and Luphen attacked Eric, who was not too far away. The result lifted the chocking long enough for him to release from it and launch his lightning bolt at Eric, along with their attacks.

Eric got hit once and dodged the ice balls with his speed. "What's wrong with you people?" he yelled. "You don't look well, I'm trying to help you, and you too turn your back on me?" he said and retrieved his pipe from the tall building and hit Luphen in the head with it. "I'm gonna enjoy killing ALL OF YOU TRAITORS!"

He paused...

"And about that weak jolt you lauched, Sparky boy...It barely tickled me...You think I didn't come prepared?" he said as he sped up and begna to hit Luphen and Drake really quickly with the pipe.

Due to the fact that the area around them was heated up pretty good, the ice around Aura's leg had melted off, though not without leaving her leg throbbing in pain. She got up quickly and ran over to Drake, putting her hand on his arm.

"I'm gonna try something." she whispered to him. She closed her eyes tight, concentrating as hard as she could. Please, please, please, please work! She opened her eyes and looked down, she was invisible. She looked to her left, Drake was invisible too.

"And that's what happens when you turn your back against me. Sooner or later you'll end up paying for it." Eric said and paused "Now...where was I? Oh yeah..." he said and used the hand he wasn't using to keep strangling Drake.

This time, NO ONE should stand in my way!

Drake was hit by the pipe, unable to dodge. His body trembled as pain spread through it. He could barely summon anymore lightning, He froze in place, unable to defend himself properly. He just stood there. The lightning in his hands was powering up, and he waited for the next attacks. Drake had to go on the defensive for now, even though he couldn't repel everything, he would try to repel what came.

Eric saw the girl who had betrayed him disappear. He stopped strangling Drake. "I'll let you go for now. It was fun, we should spar again!" he said before dashing off into the horizon, still carrying his pipe.

Note to self: Definitely get Heatvision goggles.

(OOC: I'm going to sleep. See you tomorrow!)

Drake watched as Eric departed. Any longer, and I might have been taken out. He looked at Luphen expectedly. "Well? Are you gonna leave? I doubt you're in any condition to continue fighting without a chance of dying."

He waited for an answer.
