How much have you improved since your first Pokémon fanfic? In which ways did you improve the most? Do you still retain some of your early weaknesses?
I'm still writing my first fic, but yeah, I've improved. My dialogue has gotten a lot better mainly, but I'm really just all-around more skilled. I still struggle with engaging the reader though, I think. I tend to get wordy.
Do you like crossovers? What is it about crossovers that you like/dislike? What fandoms were in your favourite?
I sure hope I do, seeing as I'm writing one. I like crossovers for the same reasons I like good fanfiction: the story is compelling and the elements work well together. If the author is just smashing their two favorite things in the whole wide world together for their own kicks, though, I'm usually turned off instantaneously.
And is my crossover the only one in existence that doesn't focus on trans-dimensional portals, magic, or the like? I just placed pokémon into the world of the R-Type games as though they had always been a part of it, and the whole thing went *click.* I mean frell, it was almost too perfect.
Kind of odd, seeing as R-Type is a scrolling shooter and pokémon is...well, pokémon.
