Favorite childhood cartoons?

I totally loved the Powerpuff Girls and Tom & Jerry. Actually, almost I liked a lot of cartoons that were on Cartoon Network but those two used to be my favourite. Then of course, I was already crazy about Pokémon, and more interested in the anime than in the games.

  • Pokemon
  • Spongebob Squarepants (I still watch it...XD)
  • Fairly Odd Parents
  • Powerpuff Girls
  • The Wild Thornberry's
  • Rugrats
  • Dexter's Lab
  • Cow & Chicken
  • Tom and Jerry
  • Ed, Edd and Eddy
  • Hey Arnold!
  • Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends
  • Sailor Moon (I used to watch everything my older sister watched... :'D)
  • Blue's Clues (Not sure if this is okay, it was like...half animated though!)

Yeahhh :'D

Too many to list. XD

Anime:

Kinnikuman
Escaflowne
Dragonball/Z
The Slayers
Digimon
Betterman
IRIA

Other Cartoon:

Botsmaster
Stunt Dawgs
Mar Bros Super Show
Zelda Cartoon
Mighty Max
Megaman

Non-cartoon:

Big Bad Beetleborgs
Power Rangers

In no particular order (well, vaguely chronological order because I used this list to refresh my memory):

- Spider Man
- Babar
- Scooby-Doo
- Inspector Gadget
- Math Blaster (idk if this had a different name but it was based on the computer games)
- Tintin
- Rugrats
- The Simpsons
- Animaniacs
- Rocko's Modern Life
- Reboot
- Bump in the Night
- Magic School Bus
- Sailor Moon
- Pinky and the Brain
- Stickin' Around
- Dexter's Lab
- Angry Beavers
- Cow and Chicken
- Mummies Alive!
- Jackie Chan Adventures
- Flying Rhino Junior High
- Pokemon
- Dragonball Z
- Digimon

Some of these I watched a lot more obsessively than others but I think everything on this list got a lot of attention from me. :x A fair few of them are on Netflix now so this summer will probably be a nostalgia binge for me. (I've already been watching lots of Rugrats. 8D)

Basically that, subtract some (Sailor Moon, the Cartoon Network Stuff, Mummies, Jackie Chan, Flying Rhino).

I have the Bump in the Night complete series on DVD lol

I have very fond memories of watching stop-motion cartoons when I was a toddler like Thomas the Tank Engine, Theodore the Tugboat, Postman Pat, and Fireman Sam. I also liked SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, Dave the Barbarian, The Weekenders, House of Mouse, and random Disney shorts that would air on Family Channel.

Oh, and Nickelodeons Doug (the Disney version was bleh)

-Pokemon
-Ed, Edd N' Eddy
-Spongbob
-The Fairly Oddparents
-Camp lazo
-Pretty much anything on cartoon network around the early 2000's

Oh those were the best time for cartoons

He-Man (MOTU)
She-Ra, Princess of Power
Transformers: Generation 1
My Little Pony.....before Friendship is Magic, but I like the new one too.

Sharkey and George

Im sure theres loads more

Can't remember the names of all the cartoons - one of my favorites that I still watch (have not seen mentioned) Sabrina the Animated Series. As a little kid would have been all the cartoons from the very early 1990's. (around 1989-to-around 1998) before getting addicted to Pokemon. Oh darn, Pokemon didn't even exist in USA before 1998.

Can't believe I missed this thread first time around. Instead of just writing a big list (WHICH IS SO TOTALLY NOT OK, GUYS! MAKE SURE TO READ THE RULES!) I'll instead talk about my favourite from that era in a bit more depth: Recess.

Although my school experience was nothing like that of the kids of Third Street Elementary, that I could relate to it at all was a testament to the show's universality. Set in some unknown time (the buildings were old, and the clothes that the kids wore felt more like they were from the 70s/80s than the present day of airing), and featuring characters that would have been ciphers and stereotypes in a lesser show, Recess was the perfect show about being a 4th-grader (so... 9/10 years old?). It showed so much empathy with not only its main characters, but also to the adults and other antagonists that inhabited this world; it wasn't afraid to make people human - full of doubt and other such strong feelings. But, it was also hella funny. And not just in a way that 7-year-olds would understand, but in that universal way that still resonates to this day. Also, it's the best sociological study on child development that I've seen (and there are even multiple episodes that poke fun at this very trope!) so that's also a plus. I haven't watched it in years, but I can easily imagine sitting down with an episode and feeling all those warm and happy feelings that I felt all those years ago.

Man that was 16 yrs ago or something i liked Sailor moon
