We all have consoles that mean a lot to us, whether it be the nostalgia factor, the overall gaming replaybility, or some other valued reason. However, how many of you really like a console for the loading screen or the "on" screen? I'm not saying that this screen makes the console your favorite or even makes it a good console... but honestly, is there a startup screen that you actually like from any gaming console?

For me, PS1 takes the cake. Don't know why, but this sound set is oddly satisfying and just makes me ready for whatever game I started.

I always loved the boot screen that the Game Boy Color featured, particularly the "chime" that played when the colors scrolled away to reveal the blue Game Boy logo.

The Game Boy Advance for sure!

Well, not so much for the actual screen or sound effect as much as the nostalgia. It was the first console I ever owned so it really has a special place in my heart. c:

This is purely nostalgia speaking here, but the boot screen I have the fondest memories of is this one:

    I'm old.

The GameCube, hands down. I don't think I can really compare it to any other console, but I just very much enjoyed the way it rolled into the actual logo of the system. That, and that melodic direction it goes in with the drop of each note. PLUS, I don't know if people knew this or not, but if you did certain commands on controllers, than the loadup sounds changed!

    Check it out:
