Gengar being so high up kinda explains some things, though. Back when I was completing my Pokedex most of my successfull trades on the GTS where ones in which I offered a Haunter. People would litterally give me (almost) anything I wanted.
If you want an easy time on the GTS, give them a Gengar, I guess.
