    Lets run the full gamut here: design, easiest to use in the games, most accurate, everything. Which generation had the very best pokedex?

    Out of what's available to vote on, my favourite pokedex is the 5th gen pokedex. It looks the best, plus it has little things like the small sprites of each pokemon that make it stand out. The design of the 5th gen screen looks like the most thought was put into it. It's clean and simple too.

    However overall I prefer the pokedex in Heart Gold/Soul Silver. Which isn't the same as the 2nd gen or the 4th gen one so I can't vote for it.
     
    i like the 5th gen. its easier to find the pokemon you are looking for and i just like the design
     
    Gen 5. It seems that they get better after every generation. Also, be sure to look closely at them. Ever noticed that all of them except for the last one have some resemblance to Nintendo's console at the time when they are opened? It seems that Black and White's might be breaking that tradition by trying to look like an Ipod.
     
    In all honestly, I stil love the 1st gens pokedex, the others all look too technical lol, the 5th gen comes 2nd though as it easily has the best display.
     
    the 4th Gen looked smoother and neat, but I'll go for the 5th xD
     
    First gen, while classic, is clunky. Second gen is still a bit clunky. I feel the third gen's Dex looks a little weird. Fifth gen, on the other hand, looks terrible. It reminds me of a Zune or an iPod, but kinda futuristic-looking...

    I'm gonna go with fourth gen's design, because it looks compact and I love how it folds out when it's open.
     
    I'm gonna move this to PKMN Gaming Central since it relates to the in-game aspects of each Pokédex. :p

    Anyway, my answer would have to be HGSS's, I think. I don't remember using it much but I think I recall it being pretty useful. If it didn't have the height/weight comparison thing, though, my decision is DPPt's. So I guess 4th gen in general is my favourite. 5th gen's is nice but its lack of height/weight bugs me too. :< (I do like its search function though.)

    I have always loved the Generation I version the most <3 I had the toy version of it when I was little :D My favorite one in the games, however, is the Generation IV version. I could use the stylus to spin through the pokemon!
     
    Um gen III's I guess, since I used it so much back in the day. HGSS is my favorite though, but of course, it's not listed. :|
     
    I think that the Unova Pokedex looks pretty cool.... like an iPod.

    Kanto resembles a Game Boy.
    FRLG Kanto resembles a Game Boy Advance SP.
    Johto resembles a Game Boy Color.
    HGSS Johto resembles a Nintendo DSi.
    Hoenn resembles a Game Boy Advance.
    Sinnoh resembles a Nintendo DS.
     
    My favorite is the Fifth Generation Pokedex. The Pokemon are awesome. I like all of them. They all look so cool and are very very creative. Such awesome Pokemon.
     
    I love the second gen's Pokedex. I really enjoy the graphical design of it when you use it in-game. It's also pretty basic, which I find to be a good thing. :D
