    Someone crafted a thread revolving what our favorite anime series are, and I thought "hmm... some of my favorite animes take place during a specific time or place". So here we are.

    What, if any, is your favorite plot or setting for an anime? Is it mystery? Horror? Sci-Fi?

    Is it harem, like To Love Ru with tons of [redacted]? Or is it maybe a samurai setting crossbred with something else, like Afro Samurai? Is your favorite genre horror based, like Death Note and Helsing? Or maybe futuristic, like Mobile Suit Gundam?

    Is it based around a school, like Kill La Kill and Rosario Vampire? Or a sport or some sort of competition, like Initial D or Air Master?

    Me? I often enjoy historically accurate Animes. They're so uncommon and rare, but to actually see one is a real treat. I also enjoy science fiction settings as well, Like Mobile Suit Gundam and Knights of Sidonia. Robotech and Transformers were both pretty great too! Haha!

    So what's your favorite genre, plot or setting in an anime? Are you lecherous or valorous? Cowardly or courageous? Or do you just like to sell propane and propane accessories?

    For me, when it comes to anime, I have no real preference besides:

    1) Preferably English dubbed.
    2) Preferably less than 25 episodes.
    3) Preferably already completed {not on-going}

    Every now and then, I'll break my preferences if the anime really catches my attention (based off of episode count/time spent to watch + interesting story).

    Otherwise, I stick to my 3 rules and watch pretty much everything that follows those 3 rules. Out of all the rules, my main rule is LESS THAN 25 EPISODES.

    I really enjoy post-apocalyptic anime, and while I did like Rosario+Vampire, I don't like school anime so much outside of Code:Breaker. I also like the feudal-fantasy genre like InuYasha and Sci-Fi.

    I prefer anime that is subbed, has a gimmick completely different from other anime, has no power of friendship and all that, and also clearly explains actions and consequences (aka what happens is realistic for that world).

    Overall if I judge based on animes I have watched and liked the most, I guess thrillers are my thing mainly.

    The only anime I won't watch is anything with more than 50 episodes.

    Animes like One Piece and Naruto are just ridiculously long XD
