Favourite moments in the anime?

    Okay so I know we men don't cry (and some women), but at least on the verge of crying? Or just felt very emotional watching episode? I know alot of long time watchers felt sad when butterfree and pidgeot left. You don't just have to say emotional scenes though, the title does say "Favourite moments", maybe one of yours was when Ash got a badge or something.

    Here are my favourite moments:

    • When Ash's caterpie evolved for the first time to metapod, it actually the first evolution on screen for the anime, they did change how the process worked after a while though.
    • When Pikachu lost against Lt. Surges Raichu, refused to evolve then had a rematch have beat Raichu with pure speed. - One of my most favourites. Also, we've got that DP episode when Pikachu battled another Raichu lost, refused to evolve, rematch, won - an awsome system.
    • My next favourite scenes are when Ash left Butterfree and Pidgeot, I nearly did cry whilst watching Butterfree leave.
    • My next favourite scene we just straight to Johto and to the episode named "For Ho-oh the bells Toll" I loved how intense it was once Suicune appeared and used Roar to send send Alakazam back into it's ball.
    • Noooowww... we go into Hoenn, my favourite moment here would have to be
      when Misty came back with a new outfit and everything.
    • Oh top of that ^, it was really sad to see Togepi leave after so long.
    • Now back to Kanto, one of my other favourite moments here would have to be May and Drews match in the grand festival, I must say, it's actually my most favourite battle in the whole of the series.
    • Now another moment in kanto would have to be when Ash met us with his old pokemon to have a rematch with Brandon.
    • Now into Sinnoh, one of my favourite moments was when we met Buizel and how Dawn caught it. It was really cool to see Ash show off Misty's lure too.
    • Also I have to admit, I loved it when Aipom evolved, it was epic to see it try and defend Dawn and evolve.
    • On top of that ^, I felt really sad when Ash and Dawn said goodbye to Amipom when it left to play Ping pong.
    • Now, my nest moment in actually the last episode of DP where we see Ash watching Cynthia VS Flint and see Ash imagine it's him battling Cynthia with his Infernape, with the awsome opening music "Together" playing in the background.
    • Now, my last moment for the thread, I did get some tears in my eyes when Ash said goodbye to Dawn and then after to Brock, it's so sad to see them both go and i'll miss then both alot.
    Now there are alot more moments that I really liked that include stuff like when May and Misty left, but now I want to hear your moments.
     
    the episdoe where pikachu hit his (or id team R brainwash him i forget?) and they retrain him to hate ash.
     
    I don't remember me ever getting emotional over any scenes. I don't think I did. I do have some favorite moments though. My most favorite moment ever that I can think of right now has to be when Pikachu first used Volt Tackle in the animé. Seeing it used for the first tie was just beyond epic for me. The move in general is one of my favorite things in the franchise itself but seeing it for the first time is something that I'll always say "That was really cool". Too bad that Volt Tackle is now the Death or Glory Attack that Pikachu has and it's becoming a lot more death than glory.
     
    Well, Yeah, Pikachu learning Volt Tackle was a good one.

    However, for me, my overall favourite's probably when Sceptile lost his ability to use moves....and then regained it in the next episode. That was awesome.

    I guess I also like Grotle vs. Rhyperior at Twinleaf Town, and Chimchar's evolution (part of an already pretty brilliant few episodes)

    Ooh yeah, and also when Swellow beat that Shiny Swellow!

    And, actually, when Brandon and his 3 Regis got petrified by J's shooting thingy.
     
    Ash and May's emotional discussion when he wanted her to go to the Grand Festival by herself while him and Brock found Max.

    ^ Exactly the same for me.
    Other than that I enjoy most of Ash's rival battles. Contests aren't really very appealing to me though, but May vs. Drew was definitely epic!

    My favourite moments come mostly from the Pokemon movies. One being the moment where Ash turns into stone trying to Stop Mew and Mewtwo from battling each other. The other being the scene where Celebi nearly     dies.
     
    Oh, God, all of the scenes that make everybody else cry, in addition to the end of The Poke Spokesman (it really was a powerful speech and good voice acting in the dub I was watching definitely helped)... and don't forget Crossing Paths/Farewell Dokucale.

    I was a wreck by the time Musashi smashed Dokucale's monsterball. It really was a beautifully striking parallel, though... like she was righting her past mistakes through her Pokemon by giving her the chance she gave up.

    I don't think that I've ever cried watching it, but the Roketto-dan's origin story in that one hoso/Chronicles special was very touching.

    The Haruka/May and Nyasu/Meowth time-travelling episode is full of beautiful and emotional scenes too, all topped off with Eevee's birth/hatching, awww...

    My favorite scenes in the anime are:
    The fat Pikachu not obeying Ash, every Charizard vs. some pokemon match, Jessie and James leaving Arbok and Weezing behind in Hoenn, mach punch Monforno, and Jiggypuff getting stuck in Blastiose's cannon.
     
    Kanto:
    • The Lighthouse when Ash met Bill.
    • The very first episode or so when Pikachu protected Ash from the huge Sparrow flock.
    • When Ash caught all his Pokemon mainly Primape.
    • When Ash almost got rid of Pikachu because Pikachu love all the Pikachu in the forest.
    • The episdoe when Ash would have froze to death if it wasn't for his pokemon.
    Johto:
    • Ash catching all his pokemon.
    • Lugia trustung Ash and Lugia to save Silver.
    • Ash beating Gary.
    • The battle between Charzard in Blazkin.
    • The split between Misty Ash and Brock.
    Hoenn:
    • Pikachu destroying May's bike.
    • May coming into the group.
    • Brock returning.
    • Ash catching his pokemon.
    • Jessie when she slaps the crap out of Seviper and catches it.
    • The Kyogre vs Groudon episodes.
    • Pikachu loseing his memory and joining Team Rocket till the end of the episode. Sorry can't remeber if this was Hoenn or BF.
    Battle Frontier:
    • Pikachu learning Volt Tackle
    • Phanphy evolving.
    • The Brandon battle
    Sinnoh:
    • The return of May
    • Hunter J getting killed?
    • Ash catchign his pokemon.
    • Monferno evolving.
    • 8th Gym battle.
    • Cydaquil evolving.
    • All the Galatic encounters.
    • Staravia evolving.
    • Him beating Paul.
    Isshu so far:
    • Him going to Isshu.
    • Him catching all his pokemon.
    • The new Team Rocket.
     
    I wouldn't know for sure, but I'd say when Misty and May came back to the anime for a while. I also liked it when Charizard started to listen to Ash in the Orange Islands.
     
    When Ash watched butterfly fly away. It was so adorable~
    (And sad too ;;)

    Oh and Charizard with Ash and the valley of Charizards. Idk those are the only awesome parts of the anime that stand out. XD;

    I also forgot - That episode where James had BooBs. xD
     
    When Toxicroak poison jabs Brock in the butt cheack...and when Pikachu gets defeated...Lol I dont know why!
     
    The 2nd part of Ash and Paul's first full battle. Seeing Ash, the most easily hateable protagonist in any work of fiction whose name isn't Bella Swan, get completely demolished was incredibly satisfying.
     
    I liked the 6 on 6 battle between ash and Gary i think it was Charizard's greatest accomplishment to date Beating if i can remember correctly Gary's Siszor then his Golem and then if that wasn't enough he even beat Gary's Blastosie. But it was horrible that he was then beaten by Blaziken
     
    In the Orange Islands I loved that whole episode where Ash and Team Rocket team up and take down Butch and Cassidy. Every thing about that episode was great, I have many more but that one.
     
    My two favourite moments were:
    "Gary was here, Ash is a loser!"
    You wouldn't believe how many times I've written that on things.

    and

    When Gary walked out of the Pokemart and hit Ash with the door. OMFG, I lol'd.
