    As much as we love Gym Leaders, Rivals and all the other big names, Pokemon is also filled with countless NPCs and generic Trainers that could make an impact on us. Personally, my favourite NPC is the woman in Dewford who says how she moved from the big city to here, it's just a very beautiful quote that I like. I'm busy so I have to wrap this post fast, which NPC/Generic Trainer made an impact on you and why?
     
    The 'Bye-bye a Go-Go' grunt from HGSS. In this video, by our lord and saviour TamashiHiroka, it goes over his backstory, and it's so touching!
     
    Cynthia. hands down my favorite NPC of all time! Steven, Lance, Caitlin, and Lorelei are also some of my favorites :3
     
    There is, of course, the infamous Youngster Joey, with his Rattata, or the equally famous Shorts guy, but my favorite may have to be the Trick Master from RSE; the uniqueness of his personality and the variety of his challenges (though they are pretty similar to Gym challenges) is very neat, in my opinion.
     
    I don't pay much attention to NPC's, and when I do, I forget about them one day later. But I guess I can say Youngster Joey, since it's a pretty known NPC.
    Also, I do remember in Sinnoh (I think???) there were two lovers who lived in different cities. Each of them helped you with your relationship with Pokémon, and those two lovers communicated by letters. I found that pretty sweet, so I can add these two to my list as well.

    Do you mean the couple who communicated by letter, using a Wingull, in Hoenn? One in Fortree, the other I'm Mossdeep?

    Another one I liked was the cantankerous tutorial man in Gen I. He was pretty funny :P

    I don't think so.... I've recently been replaying Pokémon Platinum on my 3ds, and I think I remember them... The girl was on Hearthome City and she helped raising your Pokémon's affection to you ( by giving them a massage?), and the other was on Pastoria City, and he helped us checking our relationship with our Pokémon....
