I've read reviews saying they make you pay for certain parts of it or something. I don't know (Lacks a Wii)

You don't have to buy all the parts. Rydia's, for instance, is entirely optional. You only really have to buy the first and last episodes, if I'm right. They also cost a little more than the others.

Ah right, still, I haven't got a Wii, I really want to play it >< I loved FFIV!

I'd like to join. I absolutely adore Final Fantasy X and it's probably my most favourite game of all time. I simply MUST complete it at least once a year. xD

Auron and Wakka FTW. =D

Hi! I do agree that FF X was a great game indeed. In fact, it was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played, and since then, I've been an FF freak. XD

FFX was my first FF, and because of that I love it, and it has an amazing story, and everything's good... Yet I have to place FFXII, FFVIII, FFIX, and FFVII before it, which makes it in the middle. Being in the middle means FFX represents what an awesome example of how good FF is.

Hmm, FFX was ok in my opinion, it had it's good moments (Auron ftw) and it had it's bad moments (Dark Anima -.-), but all in all it was fun to play. It's how I got one of my friends into the series anyways.

I prefer the PS1 games though <3

Is anyone watching TheSpeedGamers Final Fantasy Marathon? It's been going since Friday 6 PM Central Time, and currently they've done FF1 and FF2, and now Cross Warrior is playing Final Fantasy 6!

Go to https://www.thespeedgamers.com and watch! It's going ALL week until Friday. I hope people watch this! ;D

The order is FF1, FF2, FF6, FF5, FF3, FF7, FF9, FF10, FF4, FF8, and then FF12. FF11 will be played the final 6 hours as well, since it can't really beaten. :P

ill have to admit my first FF game was kinda an off brand FF. lol my first one was Final Fantasy Legend III. y'know the one with the weird transforming system that u could eat the meat or parts dropped by monsters and change into something? it was a weird ass game but then i discovered all the other FFs. btw i just got FFIII and FFIV DS and am lovin it lol. speaking of which does anyone know who does cecil's voiceover? (sounds like yuri lowenthal from the dot hack GU series but i could be wrong :P)

It is Yuri Lowenthal, he also reprises his role as Cecil for Dissidia Final Fantasy.

A demo for Dissidia Final Fantasy will be available on the PlayStation Network on Thursday, July 23rd. In other Dissidia news, the official release date for the game in Europe is September 4th, not too far after the North American release thankfully ^.^ GameSpot also has a video of Terra vs Ultimecia on their site where you can clearly hear their English voices. I like Terra's, but Ultimecia's seems a little off, their doesn't seem to be an accent.

wow those were awesome vids (i looked at the related vids too :P)

terra totally owns in trance mode lol. kinda confused me at first though cuz i didnt realize they were switching between player perspectives xD

god i really need to get a job so i can get a PSP and get this lol.

That's interesting, the Ultima magic that Terra performs in the NA version resembles more the one from VI.

The shockwave pulsar from Ultimecia are those spikes she throws? All her powers are so different here.
Yeah, they changed and added a few moves for the North American & European releases. Because of these and added scenes, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Dissidia Final Fantasy -International- released in Japan sometime..I just hope its more akin to Final Fantasy VII -International- where its just the overseas version with very little added content, the International version of FFVII only had an extra disc with artwork and the like on it, no added playable content.

well because of the similar name sounding could u possibly be thinking of disgaea? i know it has nothing to do with dissidia, but that could be where ur confusion's coming from. only thing that pops into my mind anyway lol

Was something like Dissidia released a few years ago? Because I remember it [faintly] being announced in some game magazine way back when. I could be thinking of that Castlevania one, but. . .
You're thinking of Castlevania Judgment, a crossover fighting game for the Wii featuring various Castlevania characters, including my fav, Shanoa from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, as a secret character. However, it was panned by various critics and gamers for having radically different character designs, drawn by DeathNote's manga-ka, then their original incarnations as opposed to Dissidia's all being based on the official Amano drawings, although I like both games art..except for Simon Belmont. It was also panned for its slightly rocked out music, something that Dissidia has been slightly panned for as well, although I enjoy both soundtracks.

Naw, I think I got it in my above comment. Disgaea is a great game though.

Also, I found mugshots for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, so I'll be making The After Years banners for the FanClub soon.

The Demo for Dissidia Final Fantasy is now up on the PlayStation Network. Its a simple Arcade Mode set-up with normal and hard modes to choose from.
The characters you can choose from are as follows.
Onion Knight
Cecil Harvey
Terra Branford
Cloud Strife
& Sephiroth

Their movesets change slightly depending on whether or not to select Normal or Hard mode.

You fight various other characters but you don't seem to ever fight against any of the characters you can play as. So far I've fought against these characters, although the others, bar Shantotto & Gabranth, may be in it as well.
Warrior of Light
Garland
Firion
Cloud of Darkness
Golbez
Kefka
Squall
Zidane
Tidus
& Jecht

I've also fought on the arenas for Final Fantasy I, III, IV, V, VI, IX, & X as well as Cosmos' Throne. Seeing as how I've only recently fought on IV's, I think all the arenas may be in the demo.

The music that plays depends on the characters in the battle or on the stage you're on. As for the English voice actors, they're all pretty good so far.

Soon I'm thinking about re-playing X and X-2, and I'm in the middle of playing VI,but I've put that off for some reason.

lol i was in the middle of replaying VI as well :P i stopped about the time in the WoR where rescue shadow in the cave after u get setzer back (i just reclaimed gau as well)
