eeek! I just started the download for FFVII on my PS3 off the PSN, so excited as I have never played this properly before! SO EXCITED! download is going to take about 3 hours though....if my brothers stay off the playstation! I should have done it over night! OH WELL!

If you all don't know, which is doubtful :P, Dissidia is up for pre-order on Amazon. Also, Square Enix recently emailed those on their mail list a little pre-order incentive.

With pre-ordering the game from Amazon you will also recieve a 10 track excerpt CD.
Though the best thing is the $5 off code also included in the email:

Nice info. Although I've already got my reservation paid off at GameStop, where it comes with pretty nice Slip Covers as the reservation bonus. Normally a CD reservation bonus would trump a Slip Cover, but I've already got a complete version of the Dissidia Soundtrack. I say complete because the actual OST doesn't have the Bonus Purchasable Tracks from the game and the GameRip Soundtrack doesn't have The Messenger song which Cosmos' & Chaos' themes are derived.
 
huh. come to think of it i havent even listened to the dissidia soundtrack yet :P

What are you currently looking forward to the most: Dissidia, FFXIII, or FFVSXIII and why?
i think ill be most happy for dissidia. i've been wanting a straight FF fighting game for years. something like Super Smash Bros. but amped up to FF level ^_^
 
Big favour to ask, anyone here expert on FFV?

I'm pretty much at the end on World 3 and I think my characters are very underlevelled, they can't even managed the ultimate weapon sidequests and can barely survive the first part of the last dungeon.

Is there any good place I can level without running the risk of getting killed in the first fight? A good place for gil and AP would be nice too.

I'll try torep the person who's tip helps me complete the game (No idea how to yet XD). I've been at this bit for months and I really want to finish. It's the only FF I have in my collection that I haven't finished XD;

well unfortunately i havent finished FFV either :( i got stuck in the forest when it gets set on fire you see a moogle, then you go into the tree and fight an incredibly annoying boss... or did i get past that? lol idk.

oh and if you want to add to someone's reputation:

look at the upper right corner of someones post; y'know where their general info is?
now look around there and you should see a silver balancing scale. click that to add to rep.

Honestly, it's a tie between Dissidia and FFXIII. Both look like such great games, and I don't really want to put my want for one game over another. Though, if you're really forcing me to make a choice, I guess I'd say Dissidia. Just because I finally get to find out who's better, Cloud or Squall. [Though the answer's obvious, it's blatently Squall.]

i'd have to agree. XIII looks awesome, but im not exactly holdin my breath over it (especially since a PSP is more realistic for me to purchase right now xD)
and i think dissidia would be a great way to, like you said, see who's the true awesome FF character. personally i think in dissidia cloud and squall are on the same level :P

i also think it'd be really awesome if there was some downloadable content with dissidia. like new weapons or costumes or characters that you could get ^_^. hell even new stages or something.
 
I got Final Fantasy X-2 yesterday (and it's just as great as I'd heard), so I can finally join! I didn't see a signup form or anything, so I assume I just post here? If I'm wrong, please correct me!

I love that one! Such an under-rated game! It's classed as all "girly" which it is. But it has one of the best battle systems in my opinion. Also I love the "jobs" system it has!
 
sure u guys can join. i doubt crystal will have a problem with it. you might have to wait a bit for her to add you though since she said she wont be here for a while.

I know, I like Final Fantasy X-2 as well, it was even my 2nd FF game and the 3rd PS2 game I bought, right behind Kingdom Hearts and FFX. I find that its always called girly or too sexual depending on who you talk too, but I love it. It has a sweet story and wonderful battle system. Not to mention the return of a Job System, something not seen in a traditional entry since Final Fantasy V.

I really want XIII, it looks so awesome, not to mention a new female lead (now Terra has company!) Its battle system looks fantastic as do all the character designs.

Its entirely possible that there may be DLC. I'd prefer characters or costumes over stages. Maybe Lightning would be released when XIII is since they wanted her in it. However, I think Terra is on par with those two as well, and out of those two, I prefer Squall, he has short ranged and long ranged attacks and has an awesome weapon and outfit.

Now don't any of you get your hopes up, their screenshots from a mod created for the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. I have no idea where to find the mod, but it does look awesome.

Yay, I came across loads of mods for FFVII PC, tried some too. They're quite good.

IV DS was great. It managed to get to 3rd in my fave FF list, nudging VIII to 4th =O
