It's a good thing he didn't do anything there though lol, he could've ended his existence then and there if he hadn't ever gotten into the game XD

Maybe he has to go through all those things that the other future version did before he can actually start changing things? Even though this power of his isn't exactly time travel, maybe it might be safe to assume that their are some rules that are similar between the two? At least to a certain degree. Besides that was the only time that we actually saw that John who was apparently in the process of retconning, so maybe he was already retconning while everyone was going through all that? I dunno, Hussie has brought back the time shenanigans, and upgraded them into reality shenanigans DX

He's got to fetch the ring for Calliope! :D question is... Will she get a body of her own if she comes back to life? It didn't exactly seem like Aranea needed that.

Yeeeah I just went hunting for that and saw it. You can see the tip of his hair just *zapping* out of there before the meteor hits. If he had wanted to change something, maybe he shoulda gone to his dream self's tower and gotten rid of that ****** harlequin Gamzee put there, and not prototyped one first either, since that's kinda what set Jack off in the first place. That and the black queen. Forcing him to wear dumb stuff.

Also I guess this was a retcon move right here, even though it seems we are just moving back. When we first saw that scene, nothing happened(and nothing will happen if you select "[A6A6I4] ====> " instead of "[???????]".) and Terezi fizzled out, but now when John remembered that phrase and went back, he changed that moment and appeared when Terezi was trying to connect to him! It basically shows what happened, and what the recon was.

I feel like Hussie is actually gonna make that a thing for all of the retcons. Just show the two different realities I guess.

Perhaps! I don't know if it's even a valid question, but then again homestuck is all about questions and what ifs. Knowing the fandom they will probably have a field day with this. When I get some time I might run through some of the comic to see if anything sticks out like a password.

I was discussing the update with a friend and I brought up the idea that this could be Dirk's bro or Rose's mom's memory. It honestly isn't too farfetch'd, considering the environment they lived in when they died. Juggalo presidents and what not.

Homestuck has somewhat officially gone on a Days of Future Past-esque path wherein alternate past John leaving to do what he was gonna do, with our John and Terezi changing Terezi's memories with her implicit instruction, and Terezi dies :x This would, if John follows the instructions by the scarf, it means the trolls not dying and everyone alive.

WITH THIS INSTRUCTIONS THIS WOULD POSSIBLY MEAN

Aradia not dying before the game
Tavros with no wheelchair
Sollux, still having one more life
Karkat, Kanaya, and Terezi still living
Nepeta, Feferi, and Equius not dying from the hands of Gamzee
Gamzee not going sober
Eridan being less of a desperate fish than before
Terezi not getting the healing from Aranea
and John getting the ring before Aranea does.

Most likely the last two would happen canon-wise :x
