Fire Emblem: New Adventures in Elibe

Reane sighed, and kept her head low, letting a few tresses of blue fall out. Maybe I should go back... The girl sighed again and lifted her head up, pulling on her hood to make sure it was in place.

Tear ran as fast as he could, actually looking forward to the coming day.
He passed the hooded stranger once more, as he asked several of the merchants (which were open at this hour) if they saw his friend.
"Azure hair you say?" One merchant replied, stroking his beard and thinking back. "No, I'm sorry, I haven't. But I do have some very nice oranges on sale! Only the best for our visitors!"
"Hmm, well, not at the moment," Tear said, slowly taking the oranges from the man's hands. Smiling, he began to juggle them, bringing up past memories.
The man clapped as he watched.
"Great show my lord! I had no idea you had such a talent!"
"Well, it's nothing really.." Tear said, handing them back to the merchant and turning towards another shop.
"Thanks anyway!"

Not yet. I... I can't let them.. See me like this.... Swiftly, she moved over into to the enterance of the town, were the shadows lay.
I don't think I should be here... Reane thought nervously.
A local bar was nearby, and several men were fighting infront of the twin oak doors. She'd have to stay out of their sight, she couldn't risk anything.

Oni bursted out of the garden and into the town. "Reane! Where are you?" He called. He ran around the streets occasionally passing soldiers and knights. He stopped in the middle of the town square where people were have overcrowded the streets. "Reane!" He called... 'It's no use..she can't hear me in this town.' He thought as he continued to search.

He finally stopped, gasping for air in the middle of an alley. Suddenly, he heard two voices behind him. Two axemen were brandinshing their weapons.

"Hey look, a sacaen,"

"Heh, I bet if we capture this guy, he's pretty expensive if we sell him!" Suggested one axeman.

"I bet you he's more than that!" Replied the other.

"Uh-oh...trouble..." Oni muttered.

OOC: This'll be funny hehe..

Tear was still wandering around the town in search of Reane.
"Where could she be..." he said softly. "I really hope nothing bad happened to her!"
As he was running, he bumped into a gruff looking man, who looked as if he was shoved back by another equally tough man.
"Hey! Watch where you are going you mouse!" He grunted, as he turned his attention toward Tear.
"Oh, my apoligies my good man!" He said, bowing slightly. "You see, I was looking for my friend, and I--"
"Stow it!" The man snapped. "I'm not here to listen to any of your little tales. I have to get back to business..."
He looked at the other man, who seemed to be fingering something. He took out his steel axe, and began to approach him.
I have to do something.... Tear thought.
For Hector!
He ran in front of the man carrying the axe, and began to speak.
"What's wrong may I ask?"
"If I tell you, will you quit harrassing me?" the man answered back sternly.
"Of course! Now, what's the problem? You don't seem too happy with that man over there...."
"Not one bit, mind you." He said. "He is, or was, my good friend, until he came across this ring. Now, all he wants is to look at it, not goof around with his good friend here."
"Nonsense!" Tear smiled. "No possesion can make up for ones friendship! Come on! I'll show you!"
He lead the guy up to his friend and began to speak.
"Mr.....uh.....man, sir" Tear said, embarrassingly. "Your friend here is feeling awfully left out. Why are you avoiding him?"
The man, looking at the golden ring sadly, looked at the two people facing him.
"Why did you bring him here? That old sap! I don't want to talk to him! Get out of here before I show you what's what!"
"But--" Tear tried to say, before the man with him stepped forth.
"William.... what's wrong? Was it something I did?"
"Something you did?!" William called out incrediously "Make that something you didn't do, Tom! It's my birthday today, and all you wanted to do was go to the bar, even when I said I wanted to go to the training hall! You didn't listen to a word I said!"
Tom, hearing this began to laugh. William began to throw a fit, but tried to pay attention to his ring.
"What's so funny, Tom? Do you make these stupid pranks for fun?"
Tom slowly stopped laughing, and, with a smile, put an arm around his friends shoulder.
"William. William, William.....
I didn't forget your birthday! There was a reason I wanted you to come to the bar! Look!"
Tom opened the door, and a bunch of equally tough looking men shouted out, "Happy Birthday!"
William's eyes shone with delight as he saw this.
"Oh, thank you Tom! You're the best friend I've ever had!"
"There's more inside too!" Tom said. He turned around, and looked at a dumbfounded Tear.
"Thank you little man! You brought my good buddy and I back together again! How could I ever repay you?"
"Oh, it was nothing!" Tear said, rubbing the back of his head laughing weakly. He glanced around, and to his suprise, saw Oni surrounded by two tough looking men.
"Ah! Actually there is one thing..."
Tom caught what he was looking at, and nudged William.
"Hey, Will! Are you up for some morning aerobics?"
William turned around, and noticing Tear and the men, smiled sinisterly.
"You bet Tom! Anything for the little guy!"
The two raced towards the fight, as William dropped the ring he was using to avoid Tom. Tear, looked at this, making him think of something awfully familiar, but shrugged, and turned around to aid Oni.

He could tell that he really was in a good mood today!

Reane suddenly heard voices coming from a nearby allyway. Hmm, wonder what that's about? I have no weapons, but... Silently, the girl moved towards the allyway... Looked around the corner...
And saw Oni!
There were also two men with axes, who were obviously threating him.
She caught a few sentences.
"Heh, I bet if we capture this guy, he's pretty expensive if we sell him!" One exclaimed, and the other replied: "I bet you he's more than that!"
Reane felt anger boil up inside her, overwelming the other feelings. [
I]This might be rash.... But I can't just stand here![/I] She thought, then, hesitated, and lept out of her hiding place. "Oh no you don't!" The Caelin cried as she ran over to Oni's side, not letting them see her face but looking at them in a way. Then, she caught a glimpse of Tear, but didn't say anything.

Tear stopped in shock as he saw the same person in the cloak again.
Who is this? He thought.
Why is she everywhere it seems.....

William and Tom walked up to the two men, threatening Oni.
"Say Will! These guys don't look too tough. More bark then bite if you ask me!"
Will smiled and grinned.
"What did you say!?" The mean bellowed. "No one talks to us like that! Get him boys!"
Several more came out from the shadows, facing the group.
"Wow! This will be more fun then I though Tom! A Happy Birthday indeed!"
Tom and William charged at the crowd, back to back, swinging and slashing at the enemies. Tear stood back, admiring their fighting skills, but was still very curious about the hooded girl.

There are good people in this world afterall.....he thought to himself, pleasingly.

Reane ducked as a axe made it's way over to her side. Thankfully, it missed. All though lacking weapons, Reane tried to defend herself with punches and kicks. It wasn't enough to wound them badly, but still, she had to protect herself.

Tear, suddenly noticing the girl was trying to defend herself without any weapons, drew his sword. He looked at the sword gleam pale in the morning's light, and brought it in front of him.
Let's see what this thing can do!
He ran in right next to the girl, and made a sweeping blow, knocking three off their feet. He finished off these with a well executed critical, and slammed right into one coming his way. He slashed at him, and tripped him off his feet, while stabbing another with his knife.
"Quite the crowd we have here!" He laughed, turning to the cloaked stranger.

She nodded, sending one single lock of azure hair astray. Oops. No, now they're going to wonder... Going to see me.... Going to hate me... I look... Oh...

Tear looked at the girl in fright.
"Noo!" He yelled. A man was coming up from behind, trying to grab her. He used his long sword to lift himself into the air, and kick the man in the face. He landed on his feet as his enemy landed in his back, and Tear swiped at him.
"Close call!" He said, sighing with relief.

Tom and William were busy finishing up the other men with Oni.
"Okay, Tom! Looks like we got things under wraps here!"
"It sure looks that way, William!"
They chuckled and pushed eachother playfully as they put theit axes away.
"Thank you again for your help little man! I'm glad I told you my story!"
William walked up to Tear, and punched him, laughing.
"You're one of us now, my friend!"
Tear laughed weakly again, as he rubbed his arm from the punch.
"Would you like to come to the party with us? I'm sure you'll have a great time!"
"Oh, no thanks!" Tear responded. "I'm actually rather busy, looking for my friend--"
Tom interrupted again.
"Oh! That's right! The person you were talking about!"
"Yup. She has azure hair and goes by the name of Reane. She's been missing for a little while now, and all of us have been getting really worried. We're going to leave soon, and I can't imagine going without her......."
Tear began to look a little sad, as he looked down at the floor.
William and Tom, both feeling his sympathy, nodded at eachother.
"Don't worry, pal! You'll find her soon! We'll even tell you if we see her. Won't we Tom?"
William said, nudging Tom.
"That we will!" He replied.
"Oh, thank you! Thanks so much! If you do find her, tell her to come to castle, will you?"
"Sure thing!" Tom replied.
"Oh, and remember. If you ever need help, we'll always be here!" William shouted!
Tear nodded, as the two walked away.

Tear turned around motioning Oni to come to the castle with him, when he relaized the hooded girl was still there, listening to their words.
"I know all of that back there must of looked a little strange..." He said, slighltly blushing out of embarrasssment.
"I'm Tear by the way. Nice to meet you!"
He smiled at her, and headed off towards the castle, while he cleaned off his sword.

Reane sighed, and pulled off her hood, a faint pink tinge on her cheeks as well, and focused her gaze on the ground. She closed her eyes, feeling tears well up inside her. Oh.... A tear escaped from on of her closed lids, and before she knew it, she was crying again silently.

Reane?" Oni yelled as both axemen attacked her. "Reane!" Oni yelled as he pulled out his killing edge and with two strikes, the two axemen fell to the ground screaming in pain.

"Reane, are you alright?" Oni asked he handed out his hand towards her.

Tear was thinking about the girl he met, as he walked.
Who was she? Who is she? He asked himself, putting his sword away.
She seems so familiar, and yet...... she has this strange aura about her. Like a friend who reveals another side to themselves.

Kind of like.....me. He thought.

He stopped without another move. He made the decision that he was going to find Reane, despite how long it might take.

Lord Hector will understand...... my friend needs me!
He rushed back down from the castle and into the town below.

OOC: Don't worry about it, Oni. We'll just continue from there. If you're talking about my last posts though, I got pretty creative hehe...

Tear rushed back through the town, with only one thing on his mind. It was more crowded now, since it was later in the morning, but he didn't bother asking anyone where she was.
He passed the different locations he came by before, and realizing that the girl was in every single one of them.
Come to think of it..... he thought to himself.
She is really familiar. Right down to her azure....

Tear stopped suddely, raising dust from the floor below.
"Reane!" He called, now running back to the battle scene.

Tear began to approach Reane.
"Reane..... I'm so glad we finally found you! We....I....was so worried."
He looked at her, and noticed several tear stains around her face.
He searched around until he found his handerchief, and gently cleaned them off with the utmost care.
"I would ask you why you were crying," Tear said, putting his handerchief away again.
"But I can tell the pain is still too close."
