All you need is Pinsir. Pinsir conqueres all. Mwahahahahahahahahaha...... XD Seriously, though, a Pinsir with Strength, Rock Tomb, Earthquake and Brick Break will sweep you through the challenge...

- paras " fun guy" lv 15 scratch, stun spore, bullet seed, poison powder
- beedrill "stinger" lv18, poison sting, string shot, twin needle, fury attack

beat brock with just butters two confusions and his onix was down, currently about to challenge misty

Oh i just realized, leaf green doesnt have scyther, because of this i will be switching to rock types (i will delete my previous game of course and start out fresh per the rules of the challenge

got s.s ticket off bill and defeated all trainers on the boat and grabbed cut (yay)
grabbed flash after going through rock tunnel, caught diglett+dugtrio
currently making way through rock tunnel

You could have got Pinsir though, whose versatility is much more valuable then Scyter's on a monotype run. I won't get anything that can learn decent moves until Heracross.

Well, update and update... I've grown tired of flashy stuffs, and can't be bothered to post details about what I've done... but anywho.

I've gotten through Rock Tunnel and am currently exploring around Lavender Town in all directions. I plan to beat every trainer I can find and then go to Celadon.

New (big) update for my Psychic challenge

got through rock tunnel with only 2 hp damage on Espi, went to celadon (battled all trainers on the way) got the evee and evolved into flareon, cleared the rocket base and then pokemon tower. obtained the flute because of this and caught me a snorlax (which was then boxed) headed back to pallet and caught a staryu (named it Orion) , went back to celadon bought a leaf stone and evolved it into starmie and grinded it to Lv 38, grabbed fly and taught it to the newest HM slave fly rat (a pidgey) beat Lt surge and caught a slowpoke which i will train later

I didn't make too much progress. But, I did get through the rocket hideout. Currently, I'm about to take on Erika. I'm probably gonna lose horribly my first few times.. but, I'm trying anyway.

Vaporeon grew to Lv 31. I evolved Wartortle. Gyarados hasn't grown at at all because I've been working on training Vaporeon.

True that XD I've realized two things so far.

1, flying types have a HELL in Rock Tunnel.

2, neither Char(izard)meleon, Gyarados nor Butterfree are much of a flying type XD

So... another type would be fit for the next challenge I'll make :p

i call the fightining one, one question how many fighting pokemon can i get in FR/LG?
machop, mankey, himonchan/lee (ill go) chan, poliwrath can yu even get that FR/LG? that crappy half bug/fighting which yu cant get until yu beat the league once

You can get Poliwrath yes. And you can breed you Hitmon to get all 3 if you count top, but only when you reach the Sevii Islands.

Good news, i have competed this challenge (which was surprisingly easy with Espi the Kadabra, Saffron city- beat sabrina team rocket and fighting dojo later thrashed Koga and aquired surf.
beat Blaine i boxed all my team exept Espi and two HM slaves, THRASHED Viridian Gym and collected all Hm's i could find and taught them to my HM slaves, beat all trainers on Victory Road.
Beat the Elite four easily with espi (proprer description would be Muredered), got national dex from oak stopped team rocket again (yay more XP) an caught johto pokemon (double yay, trading time) beat the elite four for the second time with espi fainting only 1 time (to a lucky critical hit from a gengar)and finished the so called "champion" (how dare he take my position when i was busy saving some pitifull islands.

I had a weezing but i dont know where it has gone it was a sweeper as well surprisingly good speed with very strong physical attacks especially explosion!!!

well beat everyone except giovanni. Sabrina wasn't too bad actually what i thought it was. My Tentacruel took most damage from alakazam enough to make her attacks useless to my nidoking which i might add took a while to obtain due to training nidorino to get mega-horn which OHKO'd all of sabrina's poke's easily. I showed koga what a real poison type could do as well; now for blaine, tentacruel with surf spells it out. i started the game picked a boy named it purple rival name blue
i picked charmander, because mankey can learn thunderbolt to pwn the lil blue turtle
anyway my charmander is lvl 6 scratch growl
mankey lvl 11 low kick scratch leer karate chop

just beat gary for the 2nd time and now going to the bug forrest
out of curiosity can i use charmander if mankey faints? or do i have to use growl until charmander faints?

battled all the trainers up to bill then when to SS.anne and got cut by then mankey was lvl 30
went back to misty and beat her then went to rock tunnel battled 3 trainers along the way mankey lvl34
caught a female machop lvl 16 raised her up to lvl 20 through rock pkmn before beating the rest of the trainers with her
prior to rock tunnel. completed rock tunnel

then got tea from celdon city and went to safron and beat 3 of 5 trainers to get hitmonchan from DOJO

lalala beat team rocket got pokeflute killed the snorlax at the bike end then battled 2 bikies on my way to fushia city
there i went to the safari zone
caught paris accidental -.- chansey :D nidorino for HM slave and i caught a sparrow for fly
and finally got a poliwag lvl 12

+Then I went to Erika's gym and beat her using my Gyarados (he's not weak against grass; I never knew that. glad I do now)
+Headed to the ghost place and beat the ghost.

+Caught a Poliwhirl and a Horsea.
