6th Gen First Prize = RARE CANDY???

    What do you think about the lottery prizes in XY? Were you happy with them or disappointed? (especially pertaining the fact that matching four digits equals only a rare candy, which can easily be obtained with Poke miles)
     
    I thought that the rare candy was 2nd place prize, and a master ball was the first place (Grand) Prize?
     
    Rare Candies are worthless with how easy it is to level up in this game...The only thing I specifically used them for was evolving Goodra, and evolving something I was too lazy to train...

    But yes, I agree, the lottery prizes are disappointing when the most valuable prize is the PP Up/Max (Is Max 2nd?)...

    Edit: I should mention that PP Maxes are awesome and I didn't mean to imply they're worthless...
     
    I think they made it too easy to get rare candies. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a terrible prize.
     
    ^I'd much rather get a Big Nugget than a Rare Candy. But then again, it's easy to get both money and exp.
     
    I already have two Lucky Eggs, lots of friends to trade with, my own other 3DS with the opposite version, people here and Pokemon Amie. I have no use for a Rare Candy. I've beaten the game so many times and bought every expensive piece of clothing, Full Restore, etc. I don't need a Big Nugget. Now a Master Ball, on the other hand...
     
    I feel like a good prize set would be:
    Grand: A Choice Item, Life Orb, Assault Vest...
    1st: Focus Sash, Band, Weakness Policy...
    2nd: PP Max...
    3rd: PP Up...
    4th: Something crappy...

    Either get to choose a prize or it's random or whatever...I realize that that's a huge jump from what the usual prizes are...But keep in mind that unless the planets align in eight different consecutive solar systems and stay there for like two weeks, it's unlikely that you'll collect all of the above items quicker than it'd take to win them at Battle Maison, no matter how much Wonder Trading you're doing...

    This may be the worst idea ever, it's just an idea, though...
     
    Depending on how many Pokémiles it takes for one to build up, it could be really easy to get rare candies, and get a Pokémon from 1 to 100 easily, but I will agree that Rare Candies are kinda deprecated now with how the Experienced Share is handled in X and Y.

    On the topic of prizes, I will say that Rare Candy as the second prize is kinda ridiculous. I'd much rather have a Nugget up there, so that you could sell it for high money, and consider the item's rarity. Also, I still like the idea of having a Master Ball high up as well because of how rare those are supposed to be.
     
    Give me like one of the Rare Juices or something, because to be honest, with cloning, any item, even the Masterball loses its value. That's pretty much why I never go for the lottery, that and because I never win anything above the last prize.

    For those people who clone, anyway. But the prizes and whatnot need to be set at par for the people who play legitly and/or cannot clone. That's who the game needs to cater to, rather than those who exploit glitches, anyway.

    Good point. Rare candy being replaced though with something like the Rare Juice still stands, as many people seem to be able to get those easily through Miles/don't think they're worth much.
     
    X/Y did have a pretty disappointing Lotto win list. If I recall, Diamond a Pearl had a Max Revive as 1st place prize, which was also pretty sad. I feel like it should be something more like this:

    Grand: Master Ball or a good competitive item.
    1st: Lower tier competitive items and trade evolution items.
    2nd: Evolution stones and berries with good effects (super-effective damage lowering, stat raising, Lum Berry, etc.)
    3rd: Lower class berries. (Oran, berries with no effects, etc.)
    4th: Healing items like Moomoomilk or Hyper Potion.

    Just an idea.

    Nope; Rare Candy is not above Master Ball. Anyway, like most of you here, I'm pretty disappointed with Rare Candy being the first prize. Would've been a lot better if it was the second prize, with first being something more valuable in-cash such as Nugget.
