    Hi I'm Doug and it's my first time here and any forum for the record. I would like to get involved but I have a tough time navigating these things.

    I prefer 6v6 single battles and I'm looking for challenges.

    Hello and Welcome to pokecommunity my name is Musaddiq and im from india and if you wan't to battle 6v6 single you can go to Battle Server where you can battle and chat with other PC members :) and If you have questions just vm or pm me and have a fun... :)
     
    Hmmm... so the battle server brings me to Pokémon Showdown and fails to connect. I think its just bc I'm at work which blocks certain things.

    I've never used Showdown before and I plan on looking into it but I think I'm looking for more of a forum discussion for sharing friend codes specifically for battling requests. I've looked around a bit but haven't found anything like that yet (unless that's what showdown is).

    I'd also like to use PC to make new friends but I'm not sure how to put myself out there. This welcome section seems like a good start but where should I go from here?
     
    Greetings to you. Since you are looking for sharing Friend Codes, I would recommend the Pokemon X and Y Friend Codes Sharing Thread. It can be found under the Pokemon X and Y Discussion section. Course if you ever want to talk, send me a PM or VM.

    Yeah, the forums is pretty bug and it can get pretty tough to navigate. D;; But give it some time and you'll get used to it! I can even help you out if you want! There are great boards the like Chit Chat Cafe, Video Games, and Pokemon General to help you get started on meeting the individuals that explore those boards! Or you can still explore the forums and visit the boards that cater your interests! Either way, things will start getting a little more easier as you're active. :D

    Hello Gwee, welcome to PC! So nice to see you joined, because hey we love having fresh faces here and that means potential new friends as well! And like the others said, we have a Showdown server you can check out so I do hope to see you there.

    Judge has shown you the Friend Code thread in the X/Y section if you want to leave your friend code there, and hopefully add others along the way for Friend Safaris, trading and battling! Dragon also recommended some places for you as well, we are quite diverse so I'm sure something will grab your attention. It's okay to feel nervous at first, but we're sure you can grow to be an active member and make your mark!

    Enjoy your stay, and I'm always around if you need some help or just want to chat so don't hesitate to ask me or a staff member. Have fun Gwee, and see you for now!
