Focus Shift

Miharu shrugged, getting up from her position from the alleyway. "Sorry, but I hate coffee. I need to get some of my pokemon from the gym anyways." Miharu paused before grinning, holding up Satoshi's pokeball. "Be back in a flash!"

Miharu disappeared from the alleyway before appearing in the backyard of the gym. In a few seconds all of her pokemon ran up to her and greeted her. Some of them jumped onto her and knocked her down, licking her face. Miharu laughed.

"Alright guys, get off of me."

They complied. Miharu took everyone's pokeball, aside from Satoshi's and Sei's, and let them go. Jolteon, Gyarados, Dragonite, and Salamance came out of their pokeballs in a flash of light. Miharu nodded.

"Guys, I am heading to the Distortion World again. I need two normals, one ice, and one flying type."

The named types tried to look strong. Miharu looked at them with a harsh eye. When she was about to call the four pokemon, she stopped, remembering that Anthony only said to get two other pokemon aside from Sei. She sighed.

"Never mind that order. I will just need one other pokemon, any type."

All of the pokemon seemed to straighten up. Miharu spotted one that could work very well.

"Alright, Spiritomb is coming with me." All, except for Spiritomb, seemed to be sad while Spiritomb happily floated over to Miharu. Miharu grabbed Spiritomb's pokeball and recalled it.

"It is time to say aideu. Sorry I cannot stay longer," said Miharu. All of the smaller pokemon jumped onto Miharu, knocking her down again while the bigger pokemon huddled closely.

"Alright, get off of me, again." She laughed. Her pokemon followed her order. Miharu grabbed Satoshi's pokeball.

"Aideu." She disappeared and then reappeared in the alleyway where Raike still hadn't move from. She blinked.

-Raike felt a little disappointment, which he shrugged off. He then watched as Miharu dissapeared, probably by teleportation. A few minutes later, she appeared in the same spot. He reasoned with himself, but decided to push it.-

"Well, if your not up for coffee, then what might you feel like doing? I've got my pokemon already, you know... we could have a short battle if you wanted, we got time to kill right?"

-Raike grinned playfully. He had challenged a few leaders before and won, but never tried the elite four for some reason. He had never however, challenged the pallet town leader before, as he had not previously known one existed.-

Miharu shrugged. Although she wouldn't mind taking Raike's offer for a battle, they were going to the Distortion World soon and, perhaps, even battle Giratina and other strong wild pokemon (in Turnback Cave).

"I would love to take Raike's offer for a battle, but we should probably keep our strength up to the maximum as we are probably going to be battling strong wild pokemon and, perhaps, even Giratina," stated Miharu. She could tell, though, that Raike might be disappointed. "But the last time I was here, there was a little cafe nearby that made the best hot chocolate and cakes, so if Raike wants, we could go there?"

"Yes." Harley muttered, watching in disgust as the other two walked off, completely ignoring her. She gripped Ceri's arm a little tighter. "Yeah, that would be great."

She turned her head to see Appa still clinging to her shoulder, chirping away happily. Harley grabbed a ball from her belt and let out Tarth. She yawned loudly and blinked a few times.

"I think you guys probably need a heal. You haven't had one for a while." Harley gave Appa a scratch on his chin. The last time she had battled was a few weeks ago when she went to the Olivine Markets and she went to the PokéCentre as soon as she got there. "Oh yeah, I only have 3 Pokémon. Appa, Tarth and Ceri, so yeah, I don't have much of a choice." Harley sighed. More Pokémon were just a nuisance really. Smaller group, tighter bonds, right?

Anthony smiled, "great minds think alike, I rarely carry more than 3 Pokemon with me, mostly prefer to travel alone with Pitch here." Anthony turned and began walking out of the alley and around to the doors of the PokeCentre, the sun glaring in his eyes a bit.

He turned to Harley, "So, what do you need help with? I know very little, but I do know somethings about us." as they entered the cooled PokeCentre.

I watched as Raike made more than one attempt to run off with Miharu. It really seemed like he was crushing on her...

I looked at the other girl, Harley, while sipping my latte. She looked really...disturbed. Though, I could be very disturbing at times too, so it didn't really bother me. Then a thought popped into my head, It's always the quiet ones... I couldn't help but give a tiny, quiet laugh at that. Or at least I believe it was quiet.

I hesitated at whether I should ask my next question, "Hey, Harley. Uhm...do you like have...uh...yeah...or do you just act like that?" Then I added something else, "Don't mean to be rude, just curious."

-Raike shrugged, glad that he would get to do something. It was very true however, and he accepted it. He also planned to pay back Giratina for interrupting his capture session last time. But for now he smiled lightly, hot chocolate sounded good-

"Heh, sure, sounds like a plan, so feel free to lead the way."

-He looked at the little girl named Harley. Honestly, he didn't want to ignore them, but he didn't know the next time he would get a chance like this, so he did his best to hus his guilty conscious-

Josh had been watching everyone with silent amusement, "Life is more fun when you observe more the you talk" he thought as he watched events unfold. Raike sounded like he was trying to go out on an unofficial date with Miharu while Harley was trying to do several things very quickly and without much effect. He would have laughed except he knew if he did they would notice him, and probably not see what he had found funny. As he waited he let Odessa out of her ball, he knew that he was probably at a disadvantage to the others since she was his only Pokemon but he didn't mind, he was more then happy just to have Odessa with him.

After a time it seemed like Miharu had given in and was going to give Raike an unofficial pity date before they left for Sinnoh. Josh decided it would be wrong to tag along and decided on going over to the Pokemart and getting some supplies, just in case.

Miharu nodded, walking out of the alleyway seeming to not have a care in the world. She, unlike what her mum said, was not completely clueless and oblivious and could tell that Raike had a crush on her. However, Miharu decided not to comment about it or bring it to light. She decided to act like she didn't know his feelings of her. Plus, she wasn't sure if she could return those feelings for Raike and she didn't like to hurt other people's feelings...unless they deserved it of course.

She did notice Harley, who was the other girl in the group, was looking quite stressed and probably mad at the others for ignoring her. Although Miharu was glad that she wasn't the only girl in the group, Miharu wasn't quite that used to hanging around with other teenage girls, especially since most don't have the will, like most boys do, to be a great pokemon trainers. The only people of her gender that she had contact with recently was her mother, Cynthia, Misty, and Kaida. Rarely any girls visited the gym, for a challenge or even a talk, and most of the people in Pallet Town, proud of their gym leader, treated her like a celebrity, which didn't allow her to get close to others her own age, younger than her, or even older than her. Thinking about it, Miharu realized that she lived a solitary life, although that might changed due to the fact of meeting the other shfiters.

She walked through the streets of Slateport City, with Raike following a little bit behind her, trying to remember where that cafe was. As she was walking through the streets, little bits of her memory appeared before her eyes as she took a turn to the right and found the front of the cafe Le chocolat*. A tiny french cafe that specialized in, what do you know, chocolate. It was normally used for business partners, looking in the window Miharu could see that the place was a bit empty aside from the one or two on their laptops while eating a piece of their cake or drinking from their mug of either hot chocolate or coffee. Miharu smiled.

"Here we are," she stated.

*Not a real cafe. Translation: Chocolate. Obviously. XD

((XD I see))

-Raike walked up beside her, looking at the building. It looked like your basic cafe with wifi and everything. He nodded, before opening the door and allowing her to walk in first, before following. He sat down at a table near the window, not really wanting to order anything yet. Besides his feelings, he actually had many questions, mostly about her being a gym leader. He then began to wonder if he should actually continue with this so called "crush." People named it that for a reason. as it mostly always ended up with someone being crushed. He then decided, who would not, get too serious about it, as he could not lose sight of the mission that was now set in front of everyone. They would be departing for Sinnoh soon, and more specifically, the distortion world, and to get out of there alive, he would have to have both his thoughts, and mind, clear. After going over all of this, he put on a more moderate face, somewhat serious, but also gentle, and addressed her.-

"So, since we are heading to the Distortion world, very soon, I think it would be wise, to think up a plan. First for exploring that strange world, but also just in case we meet our friend Giratina..."

"Hey, Harley. Uhm...do you like have...uh...yeah...or do you just act like that? Don't mean to be rude, just curious."

"What?" Harley frowned as she followed Anthony into the centre. Her eyes quickly darted to her hand, now clenching Ceri's clawed hand the same way a child holds a parent's. She guessed it was a little weird but it made her feel more comfortable and Ceri was always happy for Harley to feel at ease. "Act like what?"

The PokéCentre was large, white and very sterile feeling, like all hospitals. There were small groups of trainers here and there, but other than that, it was quite empty. Harley bit her lip a little.

"I never knew this thing was actually used for something," Harley shrugged at Anthony. "And I thought I was the only one. But I've never practised it or tried to hone it or whatever, so I have no idea... how to have a vision without sitting and drawing for a long time and concentrating for at least an hour, but that doesn't seem the case here." Harley let go of Ceri's claw and handed over his, Appa's and Tarth's PokéBall to a nurse, nodding. "I seem to be the one who knows the least about... everything."

Miharu smirked, leaning back in her seat. "No worries, I still remember every twist and turn at the Distortion World. I got lost a lot and ended up back where I started a couple of times, so I know exactly the way to go now. As for Giratina..." Miharu held up a chain which had a small fragment of something that was purple and had dark matter inside of it. "This is part of an orb in which Giratina can turn into its original form in this world. Having this means that I am a friend and so is everyone with me."

One of the waitresses spoke in rapid french and Miharu nodded. The waitress gave both Raike and Miharu a menu before leaving.

"What does Raike want?" asked Miharu as she looked at the completely french menu.

-Raike merely blinked and looked at the waitress with a clueless expression, and accepted the menu, looking at it blankly. He honestly was not really hungry, as he had eaten before this whole mess began, and his eyes were both the same color. He couldn't even read the thing anyway, as he did not know french. What he wanted to try was the hot chocolate, he hated it when people claimed to have good hot chocolate , but in truth, it sucked. It was a very serious matter.... well to him anyway. He then crossed his arms while arching a brow.-

"Friends with Giratina huh? How did you manage to do that. I hear he isn't too kind to people who pop into its world, especially since no people are supposed to be there. And anyway, that place is always changing, it took me a while to find that Dusclops in there, and took even longer to escape my flying watcher of the distortion world... I think if we see him, I might challenge him to a friendly match... just for payment for interrupting me last time."

-He snickered a bit at his joke, but then began to consider it seriously for minute. He almost forgot something thoug.-

" Oh yeah, just tell them I would like to try the hot chocolate."

((OOC: I can't help but think that Giratina is a girl, Palkia is a girl, and Dialga is a boy. XD))

Miharu blinked. "If Raike was trying to find a Dusclops, and succeeded, in the Distortion World, than Raike must either be stupid, hallucinating, or very lucky. There are not any wild pokemon in the Distortion World, only Giratina. How I became friends with Giratina? I helped saved the Distortion World and her-" she stressed on the her "-So she is know indebted to me."

Miharu nodded to the waitress, signaling that she was ready to order When the waitress came up, Miharu ordered in rapid french for both her and Raike. The waitress nodded, jolted it down, then left. Miharu twisted her hair absentmindedly, it was an odd habit she picked up from nowhere.

"The drinks and food should be ready soon," stated Miharu. "And while we are in the Distortion World, try not to attack Giratina. It would end up pretty badly, and I would not like to have to calm a rampaging legendary pokemon."

"What?" Harley said, before clutching her Zoroark's hand, "Act like what?"

"Uh..."
I hesitated. It seemed like a rude question but...curiosity killed the cat, "I mean like, disturbed. The way you're always so bug eyed and you're away from the group while trying to socialize with them at the same time..." I wasn't sure if I had worded that right, but...oh well.

"Um~bre!" He probably wanted me to either be quiet or say it again, but word it different. I waited for Harley's reply though.

(( Ya me too, the "tina" gave it away. Oh and a message to all I will now be using only 4 colors. Black will only be used for OOC.... I got lazy XD. However if you see this,ex: "blah blah" inside of these two, - -, that is a thought, he is not speaking out loud))

-Raike smiled a bit at the semi-insult/joke. He was not lying when he said he found a dusclops there, but maybe he was just hallucinating. No, that couldn't be it, because it had attacked him first. He then put arm behind the chair, leaning back, laughing a bit.-

"Well then, I must be a combination of all of those things, I hope thats okay with you. Also, your gonna have to teach me to speak french, its a pretty cool language. Anyway, if I see a Dusclops, either in Turnback Cave, or in the distortion world, I'm going to go after it. And I suppose having a fight with a legendary, wouldn't be the best idea... but still, it ruined my chance at that Dusclops... Anyway, what exactly did you save Giratina from?"

"Uh... I mean like, disturbed. The way you're always so bug eyed and you're away from the group while trying to socialize with them at the same time."

Harley narrowed her eyes a little. Disturbed? It sounded like a too harsh of a word to use. It sounded like she deserved to be in a mental institution or a hospital. She wished Ceri was near her, but he had already gone with the nurse to be healed. Harley clenched her fists a little, pretending Ceri's hand was in hers, shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.

"I'm standing next to Anthony right now, am I not? Besides, I like Pokémon more than people."

Miharu shifted slightly, but she was saved when the waitress came and put down two cups of hot chocolate with whip cream in from of them and a small chocolate cake in front of Miharu. Miharu nodded to the waitress.

"Merci*," said Miharu. The waitress smiled then left to show two other people who walked in to another table.

To Raike she explained, "I would rather not talk about that...experience." It still sometimes gave her nightmares. She had almost lost Sei that day. She couldn't even imagine a life without Sei. "I can speak fluent French, Japanese, Khmer, or Cambodian, and Korean. I have a lot of spare time when I am not training or battling, so I immerse myself into learning other languages. I am working on Cantonese right now, but I would not mind showing Raike the basis in French. Perhaps after this is all over."

Miharu took a bite of her small cake and smiled. They had always made the cakes perfectly in her opinion. Their hot choclate was quite good too.

OOC: I'm sorta going to barge in on the conversation Harley and Anthony are having, k?

IC: Josh had gotten everything he thought he would need from the Poke-mart, and it had cost more then he had thought was fair. "The prices their are ridiculous" he said to no one in particular as he walked back towards the Poke-center to get Odessa checked up on before they left. As he walked in he spotted Harley and Anthony talking, he had nothing better to do so once the nurse had taken Odessa from him he decided to join in on the conversation. He didn't jump right in though, he would wait for a moment and just listen so he could tell what they had been talking about before he left.

(I'll be the judge of that >:) ))

-Raike nodded, before taking hold of the cup and taking a sip of the hot chocolate. That hot chocolate was the most amazing thing he ever tasted. He stared at the cup in shock for a moment, but eventually came back to reality.-

"That... that hot chocolate.... its heavenly. I've never tasted anything like that... I... give me a moment please."

-Raike turned around, his eyes welling up with tears. He cleared his eyes before turning back around, clearing his throat.
-

" Anyway I can understand you might not want to talk about some things, I have my own share of experiences I prefer not to tell as well. How about we change the subject? What type of pokemon are you into?
