Forum Placement

Hi guys…I don't know much about this section of the forum, so I thought I'd ask. We're trying to clean up the appearance of Gameboy games, and wondered if we could move this to make it more relevant and accomplish the current task of clean-up.
So where do you think it should be? Here, a sub-forum of other games, or a forum inside Other Games and Entertainment, like Other Games is etc?

Well, I don't see a big need to moving it as a subforum... And so I see that where it is is very well, i haven't see any mess out there, Kairi...then I should say that the third option is the best, cause near the other games the forums would be easier to find. Just my opinion, for me, the first and third are good options.

I agree with icy.I see no need to move it;I think it fits best here.

I disagree, there's been alot of people coming here thinking RM2K forum is for Rom hacking, and personally I think one of the two last options would be better

I kind of thought it'd get rid of that problem and the clutter all at once.
Also want to hear DM and DK's opinion's when they have time~

Here I am :). The biggest pro of having the subforum's status quo remain the same is its high location on the mainpage forum index. However, organizationally, the placement is very poor. RPG Maker has nothing to do with GameBoy games, and the point Avatar made was true, though it hasn't been much of an issue of late. Both the issues of standing out and those of organization would be fixed by giving us our own forum (as opposed to subforum).

BTW, if you are going to relocate us, would you rename us "Game Development" or something like that? Not everyone uses RM2K. Some people use Sphere, Game Maker, and most use RM2K3. So yeah...

You guys cover that stuff here too? So like, for the description put all those development methods in? If that's what you'd like, sure…I just don't want to generate confused traffic for you.

Well most people do use rm2k/3 here, but as Darkmage said, there is Booda
for example who uses sphere and couple of people that want to try different
makers time to time. Also many people do mistake the RM2K section as
'rom hacking.' So I think the last two options (don't mind any) would be best.

Yay we would finally get our own forum to call home...

Jkaizer, we used to be inside the other games forum a while back.. That's why we were moved in the first place, people wanted to talk about video games there, not game development.. I guess rm2k(3) folk aren't welcome there :'(

RM2K3 games can be considered somewhere near 'other games' as it has nothing
to do with the gameboy games nor X-Box. The RM2K section also has just as many
posts posted here as some other sections such as 'other cards' 'other writing' and
the rm2k section hasn't been made until quite recently. (well more recently than most
of the other sectons)

The 'other games' section's description is that it has games that don't
have to do with pokemon and most of the people here base their games
on pokemon.

3. advantages of both last choices
They will stop the confusement about this place having anything to do
with rom hacking.

The best way to see if something works, is just to try it out...

It shouldn't be in "Other Games" because RM2K/3/XP is not a game system or game. It is a game making program, hence the name Role Playing Game Maker 2000/2003/XP.

I voted for here in it's current place. [I think that game hacking should be moved under Game development in a seperate forum as well. Basically because it's not a game system, it's a way of creating games.

It's a game making program. Thats why it's in a game forum.

It doesn't make Gameboy games, now does it? Thats why it's in the other games forum.
