Hehe. I'm using IPB 1.3 final, hosted for free by invisionfree etc. And i can't really tell the difference to VB. And as long as it's functional and better than phpBB, i'm happy. It's a shame that the "proper" IPB isn't free anymore.
 
I prefer ipb over vbulletin, and they don't lack that much on hacks, and ipb is also becoming more famous, which mean more people making mods and all free,
oh i prefer buying a ipb least license over a vbulletin cause you can use ur board forever.

Thats a perspective of what n00bs believe, but that is so uncorrect -.-

It's like this...

Small websites and not well trained Webmasters: IPB

Smart, trained, Webmasters (with large sites): vBulletin (if you really must)

I think people assume vB is automatically used for any big forum, when it is exactly the opposite. Outside of pokemon, IPB is the choice of webmasters.
 
yeah IPB is becoming big, imagined what they got in store for us, for 3.0.
oh and phpbb is dying, they have being taking about olympus for too long already.
 
i already lost faith on them, i didn't care anyway.
anyway who has check mytopix out, is really similar to ipb.
 
Well, I still adore vBulletin, so there. :P IPB is annoying in many ways, besides that a buckload of hacks for everything one could think of = love.

*has a complicated validation system at her forums that would be so easy if she could actually edit the source code*

Olympus looks really nice, except for the fact that they've been developing it for almost three years and it's still nowhere near beta... x.x

Kinda like myBB... "Gold (1.0 Final) will be here in two or so weeks!"... in October 2004 >>
And we're still waiting x.x
 
Well at least mybb las big update was on august, and phpbb, was along time ago.
 
Seriously I am quite disgusted with the progrssion of phpBB, I am becoming more of a IPB fan myself because of how more feature friendly it is.
 
Everybody got their taste, i hate the phpBB skin, but i like the IPB one.

SubSilver is okay... a lot better than that piece of crap vB calls a default skin x.x
 
MyBB Just release MyBB 1.0, finally, and it got a new default theme, so the only one left back now is phpBB.
 
Yes, and the new default theme is <3
I thought I'd never see the day when myBB 1.0 was released XD

The new MyBB default is absolutely awesome. The changes from the old default are minor, but the end result looks much better.
