I know some people don't enjoy the whole process of EV training. I find it fun, except maybe hatching the right nature. I'm not sure why I enjoy doing it as it takes a nice chunk of time especially when I don't even use the Pokemon I EV trained. :P

Do you enjoy or dread this process? :D

I don't like IV breeding but I like EV training because it's mindless work that I don't really have to pay attention to to do. Sometimes I'll be pressing A through a dialogue and not realize that it was asking me a question or that it told me what to do because I wasn't looking, it's not that way for EV training. xD; I happened to get a nice Volcarona when I caught it so I EV trained it to be an epic Pokemon, but I don't plan to use it competitively, just to sweep the E4 when necessary.

I only like training and using my own pokémon - I really dislike having many traded pokémon. So for that reason, the "From the egg" part of your post really appeals to me. To be honest, I didn't find EV training fun, or too tedious - just a happy medium, although I'll only train pokémon I like at that specific time, like the Manaphy got off my very own Pokémon Ranger game last year (only 4 years after I obtained the game :P). Hatching pokémon is fun - I love egg moves. I hatched a load of Eevee in Snowpoint City for Valentine's Day last year, named them "Valentine" or "Romeo" depending on gender (Juliet doesn't suit an Eevee in my eyes), IV checked them online (at lv.10), then gave them away for free.

However, now I find this hatred for my extreme knowledge of natures etc. as it makes me so reluctant to use pokémon with bad natures, and I dislike catching multiples, particularly if I want to nickname them. But still, hatching / breeding = fun (:

I don't really like EVing that much tbh, but I do it occasionally. I don't really do competitive battling though, so it's like...no biggie for me.

I don't try to "EV Train" my Pokemon. I just train them like I would any other Pokemon. When choosing which Pokemon I add to my team, I only look at 3 factors: base stats, types, and movepools. I base which moves I teach them on their base stats. I also don't breed for specific natures. I do, however, breed for egg moves.

I love EV training and IV breeding. If these aspects weren't present in the game, I doubt I'd play Pokemon. I even like the presence of hacking devices and PRNG, which allow people who don't like to actually earn their victories do just that. I would never use either of these cheap training methods, but the fact that the majority of trainers do just adds to the satisfaction of a victory for me, as I have labored while they have cheated.

For me, IV breeding makes the game suspenseful and often results in gratuitous quantities of fist-pumping when victory is achieved (I recently bred a physical Whiscash of the right nature and ability with 31 in Atk, Def, Sp. Def., HP, and Speed and nearly screamed.) EV training allows you to become closer to your Pokemon, typically resulting in admiration and a sense of belonging for me, as well as a complete knowledge of the Pokemon's weaknesses, strongsuits, and moveset. I remember watching a hacker's battle on youtube in which he would repeatedly check his Poke's movesets and items because he had no idea what they were. Such a thing would never happen to an EV trainer.

In total, these aspects of the game prove one's ability to plan and execute, as well as one's knowledge of the game's mechanics in general.

Breeding is a hassle because so much is left up to chance and it takes a while and many failed specimens to get the right Pokemon. But I don't find EV training all that bad, especially since I can combine the power of the "Power" items and Pokerus to make the process go very quickly.

I've never tried IV though i do breed for certain natures then EV train.
I think I looked at it once and when I was done reading I was like what? o.o

Well I don't EV train my Pokemon. I do what the title of this thread is, from egg to battle. Since I am one of those people that want to have every single species of Pokemon in her Pokemon boxes (meaning Bulbasuar all the way to Genesect) I usually hatch a lot of Pokemon eggs and when they hatch, depending if they have a 3rd stage, I would raise that Pokemon to it's 2nd stage

OMG, that's me exactly. I also try not to have pokemon that share types unless one of the is immune to a weakness of that type. Tyranitar and Scrafty come to mind.

I honestly do not IV/EV train, I don't know how to. XD; I've tried once but I never really caught the gist so I decided to ditch it, plus it took so long and it was practically boring. :x I don't battle compeitively either since similarly, I don't know the ins and outs of competitive battling.

Nope, I've never specially bred an egg, not for IVs, not for a choice nature, not for an egg move. I know how, but I honestly can't be bothered to.
