Tool: G3T - Gen 3 Tools

Sorry If I missed someone else asking/answering this. When I click to Edit Pokemon, it pops up with a message saying my ini file is missing:

"PokemonMoveTable
PokemonEvolutions
PokemonMoveTable"

Similarly, for the move editor, "MoveDescriptionTable" is missing

If i want too change the Item Data it doesent show me the Edit process to find free speacce and too save it !

The program can't find or access the ROM's respective .ini file.
Try opening the .ini file editor and see if it loaded correctly.
Also, make sure you extracted all of the files and folders included in the download file.
Also, make sure you didn't change the ROM's Hex code.

Changing item data does not require finding free space.

EDIT:
I thought I had lost all backup data of the project years ago, but recently I found a very recent backup, which is cool. This means I can resume the development of the tools later when I have time for it.
Also, this is neat if I am to make an Android version of it in the future!

Kurapika, I'm sorry to bother you with this noob question, but I can't find the correct answer in any of the pages of this post.

I keep getting the error: InvalidArgument=Value of '431' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index, Disable auto-saving?

I have applied the Mr.DollSteak's Patch to a clean rom but that's all I've done to it. I've edited the ini file with the correct file that you posted on page 10 of this thread, but it still won't work. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

It seems that G3T is not compatible with certain roms versions (like Fire Red version 1.1)
If it's not the case, then:
- Go to the menu > "?" > "Edit the .ini file"
- Make sure that the parameter "NumberOfMoves" is set to 511. (MrDollSteak's rombase contains additional moves)
- Click "SAVE and CLOSE"
- Lemme know if it solved your issue

This might seem a bit odd, but whenever I try to open the move editor, it says the .ini file is missing the MoveDescripitionTable. If I press No, it gives me an error and sends me back to home, if I press Cancel it sends me back without the error and if I press yes, it sends me to the Offset Editor. I am very new to pokemon editing, as I am doing it for a friend. Will someone tell me how to fix this?
Also, opening the Trainer Editor gives me a error, Index and Length must refer to a location within the string.
Parameter name: length
This also happens with the Item Editor.

Edit: I tried it again with a Fire Red rom and now I can edit Items and Pokemon but that is it.
Yet another Edit: It seems that it was my rom as it works just fine with emerald. Thanks for the (lack thereof) help. Also, amazing tool!

Hello Kurapika, my request on your tool is add the pokedex data editing on pok?mon Editor.
So it will edit the Pok?dex Description, weight, height and etc.

2. A support to the expanded move, because implementing it would require new learned move structure.

3. A support on Hidden Ability.. so there's an option whether the editor lets you edit hidden abilities instead of just loading the byte. (It was implemented before)

So I got the table.ini issue and fixed it using the table from page 10 but now G4T kind of scrambled my trainer names. When I was editing them everything seemed fine, but once I exited and loaded into the game. It added accents to everyone, grabbed a screenshot example from another tool (I prefer yours as it shows the modified moves for the Pokémon in my Emerald edit).

Kurapika, I'm new to this, but I'd like to ask how do I change Gen 3 Tools to identify that my ROM is expanded?

You can expand your ROM in XSE and by using HxD you can figure it out
Hope it helps

I have expanded my Fire Red to 32 MB, but I'm not sure what you mean by using HxD? I know it's a ROM editor that edits the Hex Codes of certain things such as Pokemon ROMs.

HxD is not a ROM editor, it's a hex editor. You can edit far more than just a Pokémon ROM with it. LOL
