Games and Movies.

    The games and the movies has started to become awfully close linked lately. With Platinum's requiring of Movie Regigigas to unlock the Regis, and Movie Shaymin for Gracidea's Flower, movies are starting to play a bigger roll in the games.

    Now, looking at the CoroCoro scans, there's apparently a new sidequest with the PikachuPichu and NotchEarPichu. I have no idea why they felt the urge to mix games with the movies even more with this. frankly, those stupid pichus annoy the holycrap out of me.

    What do you think of this seemingly new trend?
     
    Personally, I'm never going to go see those movies. But I wonder love to have a Pikachu Colored Pichu. So it's just one less event Pokémon I'll have. I really don't think they should do it that way, but there making money so it's grand to them.
     
    No, I think it's the colors of Pikachu's on Pichus. Though I don't know what a shiny Pichu even looks like, so yeah.
     
    Pikachu colored Pichu is a shiny pichu with a weird name.

    I think it has to do with the Odd Egg.
     
    Probably running out of ideas so when they get a good one, they probably also include it into another canon. :P

    Or they're simply experimenting a bit.
     
    I can almost promise there's a link. With those events, there's probably going to be some Pichu movie.
     
    I really wanted to see Kris in the anime, as Ash is a player and teams up with every new female. But with the addition of a new female *cringe*, that doesn't seem to be happening.
     
    Having the Pichu and Notch Eared Pichu as a small event is actualyl a pretty good idea in my own opinion. It gives some people the chance of obtaining a shiny and the special eared Pichu. You should simply be glad to receive it rather than complain about it. It's a remake so of course there will be new additions to it, such as this.

    With comparing it to the anime, I do not think they will have a movie about the Pichus, sorry...It wouldn't seem like something they would do with one being in the 12 movie already.
     
    It's only been confirmed that you can get the Shiny Pichu, that's all it will be, nothing special.
    The notched ear Pichu, I don't believe will be catchable.

    Does Marina of Johto ring a bell? Though she did only appear in the Legend of Thunder special... and she's been featured on some magazine ads, etc. in the show. It would be nice if she actually met Ash, though (as well as Jimmy).

    I just hope that the announcement of HG/SS will influence an actual, in-the-flesh appearance by Ho-Oh in the anime, with a prominent, lengthy role. Could it at least clash with Lugia in a movie? Or a special, something, at least! Movies connecting with the Pokemon games are OK, I guess, as long as the events are in-game and worthwhile.

    Well, there are two Pichus in Ilex, but I just see a shiny one, and a normal one. Nothing wrong with his ear.

    About movies, surely something related to Arceus will come on to play. Like Deoxys did in FR/LG.
    I'm hoping for a mini-region with ancient ruins :D
     
    There is definitely a link between the movie and the remake. I'll say that it's just advertising each other, but it could also be something else.

    I heard someone say that the Shiny Pichu was catchable? Really? Is the player able to evolve it?
