    Have any games ever made you so upset you've cried?

    For me it was

    MGS3 ending
    MGS3 killing Boss
    MGS4 ending
    MGS4 EVA dying
    Final Fantasy 6 Rachel and the phoenix scene
     
    I don't believe I've actually cried, but there's been some scenes that it's been pretty close. ;D

    Suikoden II - Nanami's death scene
    Silent Hill 2 ending (More shocking than sad really)
    Wild ARMs 5 ending
    Chrono Cross - True ending

    There's more, but none are coming to mind right now.
     
    I forgot Silent Hill 2.

    I got one of the bad endings, where the other girl gets the same disease, that nearly brought me to tears.
     
    I nearly cried at the KotoR 2 ending, not because it was sad, because it was probably the worst game ending I have ever seen.

    Tears of rage huh?

    I don't get those, but I've broken like 4 Dualshock 2's in my time out of gaming rage.

    James is both the best and worst protagonist ahahahah.

    But yeah, Silent Hill can be quite sad at times.
     
    Final Fantasy IX made me cry because Zidane looked so idiotic that I didn't even get past the first 5 minutes.
    They were tears of laughter.

    Crying because of games is stupid.
     
    If someone says FFVII, I'm going to RAGE.

    I guess crying because of a film or an anime is stupid too yeah?
     
    The most recent game that came even remotely close was Eternal Sonata.

    Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time.

    Idc what you say, some of the chapters were sad.
    It sounds completely stupid when you mention pokemon names
    and the actual events like "Grovyle sacrificed himself by jumping into the portal",
    so I'll keep it at that. The saddest part was the ending, when your partner
    had to be erased from your time in order for you to save the world.

    It really hurts you once you cling to the story and reminisce about all
    the missions you and your partner had together.

    I still need to pick that up for PS3.
     
    Mother 3...good God. That game is so sad. Jeez, I cried countless times throughout that game. Tears of joy and sadness. I still cry at the end.
     
    There was this one part in Gears of War 2 that was extremely sad.

    That was pretty sad, but not enough to bring me to tears.

    I can't think of any off the top of my head... But I know there's at least one..
     
    PMD 1 and PMD 2, the first time I completed both. The endings were just so sad, IMO ; ;

    Other than that... Hmm... I can't think of any others that made me sad... Though actually...

    In FF VI Advance, I was so hoping that LockeXTerra would be a canon couple, but after getting Celeste and watching the conversations between her and Locke, I got really sad that there was probably no chance of LockeXTerra becoming canon (I still haven't beat the game, so don't tell me if it does or not XD), but that LockeXCeleste would become canon...

    So long as a game has compelling characters that make me care about them, and then screws them over somehow, it's guaranteed to make me blub. XD
     
    I've never actually cried about a game, but I was pretty close in Mother 3, that was really depressing...

    Locke is with Rachel anyway, his whole goal in the game is to revive her. I won't ruin anything for you, but all through the first half of the game, Terra and Celes are just friends to him. Shadow's story in that game is pretty sad too, and his ending is a lot sadder than the others.
