y'know whenever i pick up my ds and play leaf green just because im bored i get into training my pokemon, then i put it down. then fifteen minutes later im hooked on gba pokemon games! so just wondering does this happen to anyone else out there that has the problem that i have?

    Yeah. :)

I am not obsessive about it but when I start playing I usually like to continue playing. I do it sometimes but not all of the time.

    The games are pretty addicting-

For completionists, there's the whole "catch 'em all" affair... almost 500 o' them lil' suckers!
For those "fancy-flashy" people there's the contest thing
For the competitive types, theres the battling....

    Yeah, there's something for everyone!

Yup; I'd say I'm addicted. I don't have a DS or Diamond or Pearl, so I'm waiting to get Platinum and either win a DS from a contest or something or just get the DS's successor. And I'm still playing the GBA games feverishly!
It's been like 5 years since Pkmn RS first came out, but the battles are still addicting (I'm playing Emerald now; the Battle Frontier really helps!) I'm obsessed with Multi Btl Tower battles, 'cause I like having the computer do some of the work and simulate a Multi Battle w/friends (it still doesn't replace real multiplayer battles, though! :() And the Contests are a nice bonus!! Basically, the GBA games are enough to tide me over till I enter Gen. 4! :)

Meh, not entirely, I used to play my Leaf Green all the time (See, I got into pokemon late, and the only games I had for a long time were crystal and blue, but then I bought my Advance SP, and Pokemon Leaf Green)

dude you definitly know what i mean, honestly i think the gba games are more addicting than the ds games. because for me the ds games went by way too fast for me that and i don't have wi-fi.

I get addicted all the time... For example now that I have been playing Diamond I just want to keep going until I beat it...Then I'll start my GBA Ruby or FireRed after I fully beat Diamond and get addicted to them until I beat them...LOL

I play my LeafGreen over & over again all the time... it's my only game and somehow I find it never gets boring.

Leaf Green is dangerously addicting. *w*
It has the least amount of Pokemon available during the main game yet it's so hard not to start over...it was my first Pokemon game (Bulbasaur being my first starter) and I've restarted at least 20 times since.

Leaf Green is AWESOME. It's the best in my opinion for monotype challenges, and I've restarted like 30 times to try and beat the game with only Magikarp, a rattata, etc

It's just the restarting thing that is addictive, for me. Call me crazy, but I think it's the same for a lot of people.

The feeling of starting something new, and choosing a new starter, no matter if you've chosen the same before or not, it's a feeling that's hard to beat. Even in my Yellow game, I loved to start over, even though you couldn't pick your starter, and you could only catch Caterpie and not Weedle...

I've played Leaf Green a little, but not much. I guess it's a step up from the non-colored versions, but still, I find the old versions being more addictive..! I think it's (again) that special feeling you (I...) get. It lies in the gameboy-playing :9
