    Ok, as everyone has noticed a variety of directors are making movies based off of some comic book/cartoon super heroes/villains, but do you think that they are pushing their luck a bit? So far, the only two marvel superheroes that I have seen that actually deserve their own movie are SpiderMan and The Hulk (although The Hulk could have been better. Ever since everyone loved SpiderMan, directors have been making a lot of movies based off of Marvel characters that don't even have a big role from the cartoon/comic that they were originally in suc as: DareDevil, and The Punisher. And they are also planning to make movies based off of The Fantastic Four! Personally, I think that they are taking it a little too far, like it was understandable why huge heroes like The Hulk and Spiderman were made into movies, but The Punisher and Daredevil? C'mon. I have to admit that the Fantastic Four could work, because it actually has something to work off of, but the other two really didn't follow their original characters. It seems to me that they are just trying to get their hands on as much money as they possibly can, and won't stop until they have made a movie based off of every insignificant cartoon/comic hero.

    I saw the commercials for the Punisher, and I thought it looked very good. It's only what I've seen in commercials though, I have to see the movie to tell if it's any good =/

    I don't mind this new genre of movies...even though I've never read a comic book in my life I still find these sort of movies pretty entertaining. This is the second golden age of cinema, and I'm loving every minute of it...these comic-based movies just add to it. I've enjoyed all the ones I've seen, actually, and I'm sure the upcoming ones will be just as interesting.

    Another interesting genre, started by the underappreciated League of Extrordinary Gentelmen, is movies where characters from classic literature meet up and do things...the second movie in this genre is Van Helsing, which will come out this summer and looks great.

    I don't mind the super hero movies =/ I think they are pretty good imo. ^^ Spider Man was a great and sad movie, and besides, its great to see comic books turn to movies. And I can't wait to see The Punisher. It sounds so sad, ;-;

    I think right now making moves is kind of a crapshoot?and using these licenses and a base ?guarantees? some solidity. In reality some of the franchisees look really good with today?s technology, others?are poorly executed. Then again, I don?t often view movies or read comic books. =\

    If you mean that they are using comics, cartoons, and books for the storyline of their movies, then you are correct. A lot of movies lately are based off of book and anything else that pretty much has its own script and everything, although I still do like Spiderman, and find it interesting how it follows the cartoon fairly well and how the special affects are. But The Punisher wasn't even a good guy really, he is more of a Kaiba type and he sounds like a boy scout when he says "you shouldn't play with knives". =P

    I dont think there making to many, I just want to see em all. Mostly becuase i play a collectable minurature game with Super heros(heroclix). I cant wait untill the new batman movie comes out, i have one problem though with the new superman movie coming out. Lois Lane (aka supermans girlfriend) is gonna be played by Beyncey(spelling?)

    Super Hero Movies I have Seen so Far:

    The Hulk: It was STUPID
    Spiderman: I loved it
    Daredevil: x.x He was blind, But I liked it

    I wanna see Spiderman 2 this summer :p, And I wanna see Spiderman 3.

    isnt there going to be the fantastic 4 movie, i know there will because 1) i hear it somewhere and 2) it was one of marvels most famous comic...and what about catpain america...those would turn out pretty good...
    but i am getting kind of sick ONLY having comic book movies to watch...o well i guess theyll stop after a while...its not bad, it just get tireing...

    Yea, wierd. I thought i said Fantastic Four, but i guess i didn't...how odd. That's usually the first on the list. But yea, it's basically their encounter with Victor Von Doom. And how they get their powers...scheduled for release next year i think. No Cap. movie that i know of...if there is, crazy. I don't like all the movies based on comics because you never get to see just what you want. For me, it never lives up to the comics. And on what Flaming Torchic said, you're completely right on the Punisher thing...everyone probably thinks he's just a good guy. All these movies are ruined by the "intricate love plot"...like Spiderman. Hulk sucked just because of the final fight, for me.

    I never had interest in The Hulk =P It seems to me like a dumb movie about a guy who loses his temper and his gf turns into a green giant too? =P But Spiderman is such a good movie =D I can't wait to see the second one.
