they made their music political. VERY political honestly. In today's world, where politic's is thrust down your throat at a hideously fast rate, I don't want to sit back and listen to a band ram more of their political opinions down my throat.

I don't like ANY Green Day or Linkin Park either, AND I don't like the politics of most policital albums.
But I have to disagree with you on how polictal albums are bad.
Try Rage Against The Machine's "Battle of Los Angeles" or, for something softer and more dreamy, "Hail to the Thief" from Radiohead.
Trust me there, some of the best "political" albums ever, if not simply great albums ;)

Green Day is just an overhyped, overrated band that's pretty much bashing Bush now just to seem popular, all this new stuff they came out with is crap, old stuff, yay, but they're selling out.

Of course they're winning, Green Day is the "cool" thing to listen now, you're nothing if you like them, so of course everyone will just jump in with the bandwagon and praise the ground they pee-pee on. You can't beat the mindless masses =P.
