greenday all da way ...likin park is good and all but im not a fan and they made a not very good cd
 
Honestly, I love and hate both bands.

Lincoln Park has made several great songs that I really like (Despite the wild, angry angst of them, or maybe because of it.)

Lincoln Park's sound is fresh and new (or was anyway) and its a fun band all around.

Green day has better voice talent though, I think. They have a good rhythm, and Boulevard of Broken Dreams is an INCREDIBLE song...but...

they made one...horrible mistake...

they made their music political. VERY political honestly. In today's world, where politic's is thrust down your throat at a hideously fast rate, I don't want to sit back and listen to a band ram more of their political opinions down my throat.

I really don't listen to either anymore, I'm a classic rock guy, but because its less political and more about the sound, my vote goes to Lincoln Park.
 
Green Day. I simply like them more. I don't like much of their newer stuff, but the older, better days far outshine the mediocre music they've put out recently. Whereas Green Day is, for the most part, excellent, Linkin Park is consistent, solid. Not bad, just... Nothing exceptional. It gets boring, and fast, to my ears at least.

well really nither cas marilyn manson is better but i will say linkin park r way better than green day

Linkin Park, no contest. Their music suites my tastes for hard rock much better than Green Day can.
 
plz man linkin park is better than greenday cas green day has gone pop an well linkin park have stuck to rock so they better as rock rulz
 
If there was a third option, I'm picking old Green Day... the new Green Day is too mainstream for me... too many fans, too... I used to like them when they were underground and not that mainstream, you know? The good old times when their fans are a bunch of angry teenagers... now their fans are a bunch of rabid fangirls... I sigh to that fact. (Not to mention being overplayed nowadays... geez)

Linkin Park is pretty good in my opinion, making those jumps but no leaps or bounds. Their music is too conservative in my side with just being rock/hip-hop and not too diverse for me since their albums are 80% screaming... and not all people love screaming. Linkin Park, to me, is just a band that is there. Sure they're cool, I have Hybrid Theory... but you can't really make me like them that much.

Yeah I agree, the old GD was way better. Now they seem, well.....:\
 
Yeah, it's sad when bands grow up and hit the mainstream, going all poppy...

Hmmm... if you like old Green Day... go listen to SR-71. XD
