    Hi everyone my name is Sophie and I am 23 years old. I love, love, love pokemon! I have done ever since the first generation. Stumbled upon this site really but sure glad I did it looks great! I only use roms at the minute as my DS died recently :(. Does anyone here use a MAC? If so what's best emulators to use? I recently purchased a MAC and I am struggling to find one. I have also heard about challenges but I have never done any so I am quite intrigued about that. ANYWAY I'll stop ranting now and yeah Hello :)
     
    Hiya Sophie, welcome to PC! It's good to meet you, yep. :D

    I use a Mac myself actually and from what I know the best emulator is VisualBoyAdvance for Mac, though of course that's only for GBA and GBC games. Anything other than that I'm totally unsure. :( You're free to ask in the emulation help thread; I'm sure people will be able to help you out more over there in contrast to asking in your introduction thread.

    And you definitely should try out challenges. They're great ways to keep your love for Pokemon burning as you can replay the games in all sorts of ways, from using only a specific type, Pokemon of a certain color, and so on.. I adore them plus we have a very active Challenges forum to try out. Up to you, really!

    As Sheep recommended, you might be interested in asking your question over in the ROM Hacking section's simple questions thread. Sadly I lack knowledge in emulation and hacks so I can't be of much assistance here but hey I'm sure someone can help you there. The Challenges section is really fun if you're interested in new twists with you game, there's some really nice challenges you'll find there.

    I hope you enjoy your time at PC and if you need any help, you can call upon any of the staff members with the bolded usernames, they won't hurt you. They actually want to help you, which is a good thing. I'll be seeing you around and enjoy your time okay?

    Thank you very much for coming love, and it's wonderful to see you here! Welcome, welcome to the forums! Gotta love em' pokemon and gosh, with those R/S remakes coming out, I'm really, really pumped for those games! I see that the pokemon games can only go uphill from here! :3

    Gah, so sorry about your DS; I know the feeling. I had to get another DS for like, 3 years in a row because mine would break or die out every time, ugh. Mostly it's my fault for not taking better care of it, but, I was kinda upset over all that. Fortunately, yup, we always have our ROM Hacks! Personally my favourite emulator for the GBA is the VisualBoy advance and for the DS, it would be DeeDesSume (or w/e it's called), both for windows, but I think there are downloadable MAC versions as well! Feel free to check those out, yeah? <33

    Ohh, the Challenges section is quite cozy, and home to a fantastic variety of members, y'know? Don't be shy on taking a visit there to see what's popping there! I'm sure you'll enjoy everything that goes on there, and it's really easy to meet new people there to talk with as well! Ther's also boards like Chit Chat Cafe, Video Games, etc, etc, alll there for you to explore!
