To be honest with all the move water shurikken that greninja learn is pretty un-useful also it's really having it at a high lvl

I never use Water Shuriken on Greninja. As PlatinumDude said on the Quick Thread a physical Greninja should not be bothered with ever. Not only is its Attack lower than its Special Attack, its physical movepool isn't as wide as its special movepool. Greninja also has no reason to use Water Shuriken because it's weak and unreliable, and Greninja itself is fast enough not to rely on priority.

However, if Cloyster learned that move I'd agree it's a very useful move in her case as she has Skill Link to land all five hits, which combined with priority and slightly better accuracy, makes it the better option compared to Razor Shell.

As Boilurn said, Greninja is too fast to rely on priority plus it has more in the way of special attacks anyway. Water Shuriken is basically too weak and unreliable to use, not to mention Greninja has the highest Speed out of any Water-type.

Water Shuriken isn't really reliable IMO, as with most multi-hit moves, unless the said Pokemon using the move has Skill Link, and obviously Greninja doesn't have Skill Link.

I do agree with the consensus that physical Greninja isn't really worth it, but if you're running U-turn, I think it's worth skipping timid nature for hasty.

ew who runs physical greninja? slap a life orb on it and protean stab = decent damage.

    useless signature move:
    - dependent on greninja's weaker offensive stat
    - unreliable
    - 75 base power if it hits 5 times, not factoring stab
    - outclassed by shadow sneak, which can spinblock at times

now all we need is water shuriken cloyster for it to be somewhat viable

Even with Protean and Life Orb, Greninja's physical prowess still leaves a bit to be desired.

Anyway, I agree that Water Shuriken is a perfect fit for Cloyster, as the move has priority and is a multi hit move, making it the better option over Razor Shell or Ice Shard.

Yeah, Water Shuriken isn't all the great. I tried using a set based on it once myself. Did not work out. It's too bad really. It's a cool move.

And holy crap Water Shuriken on Shell Smash Cloyster would be beastly. Too bad it'll probably never get it.

Water Shuriken is good for Greninja, but not great.
As Hydro Pump has a chance of missing and Water Shuriken has a poor-like power, the only moves that could substitute pretty alright in competitive battling are Scald,Water Pulse and Surf.
However,in some situations,Water Shuriken could be your best friend.
But on the other side,it can be a Garbodor.

Either way,it's an "alright" move but not so good in battling.
