I doubt he is a Rock-type Gym Leader. He probably either has a rock field or it is like the Pokemon League and Juan's Gym where there are multiple different settings. Perhaps to test the bond between trainer and Pokemon since that is what he's best at (or so it is rumored).
 
Well what if Dento's pokemon change depending on which question you got the correct answer to and which question you didnt...like if you got all the answers correct he'd be grass, or if you got one or two correct and one wrong you'd get water etc etc
 
That'd mean he'd need a large range of Pokemon though, all of which match up to eachother in strength (or appear even). And... for that reason, due to not having 500 new Pokemon or so to choose from, that seems unlikely. I guess if it was only down to two types, it could work, but still, that's going to be pretty hard to select the Pokemon.

That makes sense, her wearing the apron (like a smith of something) and the thing that came up before about her towns name and pots and stuff... forgot how that all went.
 
Gym leaders will go:

Dento - Grass (see this post)
Aloe - Fire (because they use fire to make Glass and Steel ornaments which I think her city's name is based off)
Water
Electric
Normal
Etc like the Pokedex ^^
 
Fire? o_O But her name is close to grass. Wouldn't that be more logical? :(

I dunno, personally... I'm thinking grass, as the others seem to think :x
 
I could see Dento's gym being: Grass, Fire & Water type.
But I don't think he'll have all starters cause You, Belle and Cheron already have one.
If dento also has them that would take their uniqueness away...

If it does turn out that Dento has a Tsutaaja, then I'm so gonna do a Tsutaaja Vs. Tsutaaja battle.
That will be the most epic battle ever, next to Magikarp Vs. Magikarp that is...

I can see Dento being a grass or possibly a bug type gym leader, but I'm not sure about fire. He doesn't look like he would be one, but I could be wrong.

As for Aloe, I don't know what I see her as. Her name Aloe makes me think grass, but we're just going to have to wait until next month to know everything. xD;

How the hell does the FIRST Gym Leader have a Pokemon with Solarbeam? That's one of the most powerful Grass type Manouvers.

The games and anime are different so it will be different.
 
Im sticking with my Idea of Aloe being a Fire type gym leader x3
I think Dento will be Grass/Bug hopefully Grass :x only cause Bugs are annoying and are weak...some are strong but meh...
In the Anime he is commanding Solarbeam which could mean many possibilities,
Rock/Grass type Pokemon that someone said... Lileep springs to mind but no old Pokemon are in the Isshu dex.

Off Topic : If there are no old Pokemon in the new dex, this means that there are no new Eevee's
Since Eevee is not in the dex until National...

I think Dento is leaning towards Grass, or Rock at this point :)
Offtopic: Well they did that with Glaceon and Leafeon in gen 4...
 
Yeah... after that new monkey, I'm starting to think that it will be Dento's and he will be a grass leader. No problem with that though, breaking the tradition of starting with rock would be nice (hopefully, if he is the first gym leader).

It was confirmed he was the first gym leader :), Yeah he most likely is Grass :D!
 
It is? ...must've slipped my mind.

Well then yeah, I fully support him being grass, since... besides seeing a rock-type gym, it could've been someone else's gym that they visited as a team.
