Has Pokkén changed your views on any Pokémon at all?

Sometimes watching the anime, reading the manga or playing spin-offs alters my perception of some Pokémon, mostly for the better I'd say.

Since playing Pokkén I've grown to like Weavile and Gengar a lot more than I used to and it makes me we want to play with them in the main series games. On the flip side, I liked Braixen but find it really annoying in Pokkén, though it hasn't made me dislike it more in general. Although I still wouldn't call myself a Machamp fan, its role in Pokkén and some PC member's enthusiasm for it has actually had quite a big effect on me and I've got a new found respect for it and find the species quite interesting now!

Truthfully, I feel that Pokken is more or less just a mini-game to how the games are supposed to be played. Like, I get playing the same thing over and over again may be boring and you may want to play a different kind of Pokemon game (like Conquest, Stadium, etc), but at the same time, that's going outside of what Pokemon really is.


All and all, Pokken is an okay game, but it doesn't have enough Pokemon in it.

I view Pokken Tournament completely separate from the main Pokemon games, so I guess it didn't really change my views... After all, there are no gameplay similarities. :P

If anything, it made me like Pokemon even more because it's such an awesome game! Also, it gave me hope that people hadn't completely forgotten about some of the best Pokemon from older generations. {XD}

Nah, no pokemon have really been changed IMO.

I have greater respect for Machamp when I first mained him in Pokken. All of his JoJo-style animations were glorious.

Sure! It's a fighting style spin-off game, a mixture of Pokemon and Tekken! Instead of issuing orders to your Pokemon and taking turns you control the Pokemon directly and fight in real time! To tell the truth, almost everybody in the game! Whenever I'm playing a main series game, or watching the show, someone'll send out a Pokemon like Garchomp, Machamp, Weavile etc. It always makes me think "It's weird to think they're in Pokken". Oh, and Pikachu Libre especially. I can never see it the same way now. It's more than just one of Cosplay Pikachu's outfits!

All in all, They all got a little bit more of my respect!

I like a little more some of the ones they gave some personality to (Machamp, Braixen, Pikachu-Libre, Garchomp, etc). Not all of them though. Gengar I'm still not terribly fond of and Pikachu makes me think he's like some teenager trying too hard to be edgy or tough or something.
