I like how the government or whoever (in the UK) are trying to create social stigma over piracy. They're putting up adverts on TV about random people singing about "knock-off Nigal". Basically, if you have pirate anything, then apparently, random people in pubs and offices will start singing to you. It's a lame attempt. Perhaps they thought random people would start singing the song...

The stupid part is, the common "person" is more than happy to buy knockoff dvds among other things.... So, this whole advertising thing is just a waste! :)

As for VM, they were going to disconnect people but saw the error of their ways when they released that people who just start leaving the service and voila, no profit for them!
 
I don't understand everyone's obsession with Limewire. I uTorrent sparingly, though. I'd give demonoid invites but I have none ATM.

Why waste money on sumthin you can get for free... Here in my pace, its like 40 bucks for a cd... This place where im living now is also popular for pirated/illegal dvds... which i find it super awesome, you cant get this back in the states... i think... or maybe they were good in hiding...
 
Yes, before i had about 2 gigabytes worth of music and GBA games. After all, i am a rom hacker.
but a certain thing called spyware and the geek squad made me delete all of it, even limewire and Ares.
Now, i just watch music on youtube whenever i get the itch to listen to something other than the clattering of the keyboard.
 
Yes, definitely. I've been downloading music to my computer for about four years. I also occasionally downloaded programs every so often. So yeah, the CIA/FBI/WTF is definitely going to hunt me, and everybody else here, down. Run for the hills.
 
Hehe, yes I am guilty. I used to use Limewire, but switch to Soulseek to get my music. But I haven't downloaded any music for a long while. I download the song just to tie over til I get the CD. When I do get the CD, I will delete the song. It is no longer there.

And I use Vuze(formally Azureus) to download my anime. That is a good bitorrent client. <3 I usually will download once a week. But recently I cut down, and I download one every two weeks. I been busy with other things.

But once I watch the episode I downloaded and seed back, I will DELETE it! It won't be in hard drive. If I want to see it again, well I will wait til it is licensed and it makes it to DVD.

Oh I forgot, I got Photoshop from Limewire. A very, very long time ago though. I checked it before I download for any virus and stuff. It was safe. XD
