Have you lost interest in PC?

I didn`t lost any intrest..

It gjust gets boring when none of your Friends are online and your Trapped with nothing to do..

Yes...and most of the times, I have nothing to do...besides homework but it's not fun. :P

I'm not active this month anyways because I'm always at MSN bothering people. XD

I guess that it really isn't that long of a period of time, but I think that after you've been here for a few months, and have stayed, then it atleast means that you're dedicated to PC. ^_^;

And well, the reason that I figured that there would be more activity when school is going back on, is because people will be more anxious to post. While now, they can come on any time that they want, post as much as they want, etc., and it gets old after a while. Usually when your time is limited, then you feel like you need to do whatever needs to be done in the fastest time. Plus, during school days, more interesting things tend to happen, thus creating more things to talk about.
 
You know why you lose interest? Because you expect this place to be static. To always be how you liked it most, forever. But you know that if it did that, it would stagnate and die. A forum must be forever changing, because with each new member, comes a new piece of the forum puzzle.
They're a dynamic enviroment, always changing.
It's essential for its growth and development, that a forum work like this. Just like children, newbies are the future.
Some of you complain that our forums 'children' ignore you, don't respect you, pretend you don't exist?
Thats because you make it so darn obvious that you've been here a while and you kinda expect to be respected. And don't pretend you don't. That kind've additude intimidates the new guys and girls, so they look to each other for support. The result? A clique where you're just not welcome.
And funnily enough, if you let that happen, the forum will forget about you, and move on.
You have to be willing to be humble, to get to know each and every new member like the people they are. Only then, will you ALWAYS be satisfied.
 
Wow, you explained that so perfectly, a1337a. I really find that true. I mean, I've seen some posts by members that have been here for a while, who have said things like that. I'm probably guilty of it myself, but I do agree with you.

I mean, I've never seen anyone who has been rude about it, but it is obvious how they feel sometimes. And I can understand that, but I really don't like how some of them are putting the whole blame on the newer guys...

Yup, I agree wholeheartedly, I know that's happened to a lot of older members, myself included sometimes, I'll admit it :\

And I think that the attitude problems have gotten a bit worse lately. Whenever I first joined, everyone was so happy, and there wasn't really a problem, because I was only like member #260. But now, because there are so many people here, the older guys may feel a bit frustrated when another person joins. (Especially if they can't really post...) Like a few people mentioned earlier, the whole forum is just one big place to explore for the newer people, yet, the older ones know everything about it, so it's less exciting. I think that everyone here should be a bit more welcoming. New friends now could later become your old, really good friends. You can't make any new ones unless you're willing to. I wouldn't know as many great people as I do now if I hadn't been nice in return to everyone else. I still try to be nice to everybody, but I do admit that it is hard because there are so many people to keep up with, lol. ^_^;
 
Well you know Kayleigh, sometimes the older members do try to welcome the newer members, but since they already have their own cliques, the older members are shunned sometimes, which in turn makes them resent the newer members lol, too confusing >>

Not one bit - i will admit that it is a bit crappy that all these newbies that are just begging to be banned are joining but that we cannot help ^_^
 
No I havent lost interest in TPC. This isn't the exact place I'm looking for but something similar. Mostly a forum of roleplay and fanfiction and then a lounge for chatting about current events and such.(Cant do that here. XD)

That'll satisfy my internet time for a while. But this'll just have to do until then. Not that I'm knocking TPC or anything, but pokemon is an anime aimed generally towards a younger audience.
 
yeah i think i have lost a bit of intrest in pc, mainly becouse most of the treads are something like "the one above" or "daily chit chat" or "have you lost intrest in pc":P

but i think threads like "the one above" and "daily chit chat" are just a big target for spam..., its just something ppl can use to get there post count up

I haven't lost interest - not yet, and not for a while. I love being here, posting here, and having my friends here... besides, it's the POWER XD.
 
I pretty much lost a bit of interest in PC when I lost interest in the Pokemon Anime. But thanks to good 'ol manga and my fanfics, I'm still here... ^_^
 
Hm.. Well, sorta. It's become quite boring, and there are a couple people here that seriously scare me..I post here mainly so people will see my sig and join my forum :P
 
hay we are the same, thats what i do, and at the moment the DHi forum is down and my forum dont get much posts around this time (due to it died a while ago but now is back up) oh i do mean fudges forum not my forum but i help run it :P
 
At times. That's only when nobody replies to any of the threads I go to. But then, something exciting happens, and I start getting happier. But, (sorry TorchNick for complaining :P) lately, the forum i used to call my internet home, doesn't seem as appealing, just blan. It needs a little change, to spark things up. I guess when I go out of town for the rest of August, and come back, I'll miss it here, and things will have changed.
