Oh you so know you like it anyways ;xJKaizer said:I'm on dare until November. -_-;;;;;;;;;;;;;
And I dunno on the thread, haven't been there in like a week. :P
Indeed, it doesn?t help the situation at all to just sit and sulk. ._.; I think I need to pop some more rant suppressing pills. o_o; Ah heh. Kayleigh rants it better than I could anyways. ^_^Chairman Kaga said:I sort of think we're all just down because it feels like there's been a lull in activity recently...DCC's been dead and stuff like that. It'll all be back up and running sooner or later, likely around when school begins for most people. Just hang in there for now, people o_o;;
Sheer volume of people can be a double edged sword. Places like GameFAQs can both be total spam, and yet also a huge collective resource which has led to countless game discoveries and FAQs. Friendships too, it can be really beautiful right around the time a new game is released.TRIFORCE89 said:I was about to say something similar to that but than my dad took over the computer. The last forum I was regularly active at was huge, mainly because it is the official forum of a particular gaming company, which shall remain nameless. It was a great place, but then summer rolled around. Things were slowly dying. People were leaving; good, smart, active people. Some said they'd return in September, but they never did. Unfortunately, the place went way down hill after that and I was fed up. That's part of the reason I joined here.
I don't think it's possible for me to lose interest here yet. I've only been around for roughly three months. There's no reason for me to be bored, and I like it here, a lot. I like the fact that this place is relatively small. Conversations can actually last here. In some bigger forums, a thread will be on the next page within five minutes.
DragonTrainer said:Well you know Kayleigh, sometimes the older members do try to welcome the newer members, but since they already have their own cliques, the older members are shunned sometimes, which in turn makes them resent the newer members lol, too confusing >>

Kayleigh said:And I think that the attitude problems have gotten a bit worse lately. Whenever I first joined, everyone was so happy, and there wasn't really a problem, because I was only like member #260. But now, because there are so many people here, the older guys may feel a bit frustrated when another person joins. (Especially if they can't really post...) Like a few people mentioned earlier, the whole forum is just one big place to explore for the newer people, yet, the older ones know everything about it, so it's less exciting. I think that everyone here should be a bit more welcoming. New friends now could later become your old, really good friends. You can't make any new ones unless you're willing to. I wouldn't know as many great people as I do now if I hadn't been nice in return to everyone else. I still try to be nice to everybody, but I do admit that it is hard because there are so many people to keep up with, lol. ^_^;
If people here are enjoying themselves in real life, why do they spend their time complaining or messing around about this forum? If they're having so much fun, then PC would be fun too. Everything is connected.Kayleigh said:Well, there have occasionally been a few dull moments when I was here, but overall, I would not say that I have lost interest in PC. I always look forward to coming here, and that's coming from someone who has been here a little over 10 months now. I mean, you have to make it enjoyable for yourself. You can't just expect everything to go exactly your way; Everyone is different, and we all make different decisions. A way that would help spring up more activity would probably be if some people made more interesting topics, and actually discussed things together, etc. Most people here, when replying to a thread that asks a question, will just answer it and be gone. You could comment on someone else's post, or whatever. Start up a conversation!
The reason why I think that PC has been a bit less interesting is because it's the summer, and most people are enjoying theirselves. And I mean in real life. School's starting back up again soon, and everyone's probably taking advantage of all of the free time that they have now. I bet that once people get back to their regular schedule then they might start making more time for PC, or whatever. That's just what I think.
