Have you lost interest in PC?

Yes, PC is not what it used to be.
Yes, I am loosing interest in PC.
No, I don't plan on leaving any time soon.
No, I don't think anyone else should leave.

Hm... I've been joining many other forums lately, I've lost interest in PC thats for sure, A LOT of interest because friends left and friends are not so "friends" anymore. Very few things to talk about but some new members find the way to get 3000 posts a month which is kinda strange due to the fact its my 7th month here and I haven't obtained 1000 posts. I haven't been active lately, I get busy on downloading things and since one year is so fast next year I leave school. I'm not planning on leaving PC there is no chance unless all my friends drain out to about 0.

It's the other way round for me - I've basically left many forums I once visited, they don't hold much interest for me anymore. As some of you know, PC is basically my life, and my staff keep complaining that I spend more time here than on my own forums o_O

*giggles* Yup... I'll have to agree with that. XD

Though I'll admit I'm starting to spend more time on The Pok?Community than my own forum.

I'm gaining more interest in The Pok?Community... thanks to Soph. =) She knows what I mean.

I've lost, basically, all of my interest...but occasionally I'll find a thread or a disscusion that i give my two cents to...

meh

I sort of think we're all just down because it feels like there's been a lull in activity recently...DCC's been dead and stuff like that. It'll all be back up and running sooner or later, likely around when school begins for most people. Just hang in there for now, people o_o;;
Indeed, it doesn?t help the situation at all to just sit and sulk. ._.; I think I need to pop some more rant suppressing pills. o_o; Ah heh. Kayleigh rants it better than I could anyways. ^_^

I was about to say something similar to that but than my dad took over the computer. The last forum I was regularly active at was huge, mainly because it is the official forum of a particular gaming company, which shall remain nameless. It was a great place, but then summer rolled around. Things were slowly dying. People were leaving; good, smart, active people. Some said they'd return in September, but they never did. Unfortunately, the place went way down hill after that and I was fed up. That's part of the reason I joined here.

I don't think it's possible for me to lose interest here yet. I've only been around for roughly three months. There's no reason for me to be bored, and I like it here, a lot. I like the fact that this place is relatively small. Conversations can actually last here. In some bigger forums, a thread will be on the next page within five minutes.
Sheer volume of people can be a double edged sword. Places like GameFAQs can both be total spam, and yet also a huge collective resource which has led to countless game discoveries and FAQs. Friendships too, it can be really beautiful right around the time a new game is released.

Bursts seem more effective than hanging around here though. Even if during the school days people can get on only for a few hours, it?s kinda fun to go through as many posts as you can being a piece of the conversation at the time. Of course that very well may me believing the grass is greener, but blah.
I (and apparently very oddly) haven?t lost any interest at all. It?s a daily routine that I enjoy and never really question. Dunno if I can say why, since I?m not as involved in OC and MVP as I used to be.

Well you know Kayleigh, sometimes the older members do try to welcome the newer members, but since they already have their own cliques, the older members are shunned sometimes, which in turn makes them resent the newer members lol, too confusing >>

I wish I had a clique but sadly I was thrown out of some when some people just decided to :\

And I think that the attitude problems have gotten a bit worse lately. Whenever I first joined, everyone was so happy, and there wasn't really a problem, because I was only like member #260. But now, because there are so many people here, the older guys may feel a bit frustrated when another person joins. (Especially if they can't really post...) Like a few people mentioned earlier, the whole forum is just one big place to explore for the newer people, yet, the older ones know everything about it, so it's less exciting. I think that everyone here should be a bit more welcoming. New friends now could later become your old, really good friends. You can't make any new ones unless you're willing to. I wouldn't know as many great people as I do now if I hadn't been nice in return to everyone else. I still try to be nice to everybody, but I do admit that it is hard because there are so many people to keep up with, lol. ^_^;

Does that mean My "attitude" has changed as well, maybe It's just me...

BTW Cartoon, thanks for actually caring ^_^ It really made my day since I spent most of it in a Hospital

hmm i spend more time on my forum then pc, the main reason i go here is to promote my forum and becouse DHi forum isnt up right now, most things i post about is DHi,, btw with the DHi cards, i might be making PC cards soon :D, for those who feal left out :P

You're not welcome to be here for the sole purpose of promoting your own forum.
Cease, or leave.

Well, there have occasionally been a few dull moments when I was here, but overall, I would not say that I have lost interest in PC. I always look forward to coming here, and that's coming from someone who has been here a little over 10 months now. I mean, you have to make it enjoyable for yourself. You can't just expect everything to go exactly your way; Everyone is different, and we all make different decisions. A way that would help spring up more activity would probably be if some people made more interesting topics, and actually discussed things together, etc. Most people here, when replying to a thread that asks a question, will just answer it and be gone. You could comment on someone else's post, or whatever. Start up a conversation!

The reason why I think that PC has been a bit less interesting is because it's the summer, and most people are enjoying theirselves. And I mean in real life. School's starting back up again soon, and everyone's probably taking advantage of all of the free time that they have now. I bet that once people get back to their regular schedule then they might start making more time for PC, or whatever. That's just what I think.
If people here are enjoying themselves in real life, why do they spend their time complaining or messing around about this forum? If they're having so much fun, then PC would be fun too. Everything is connected.

When school starting back up, I'll be dead. I think.

What sucks the most is that so many good members are either being inactive or leaving. This is just leaving the boring depressed ones here =/ Heck, its getting less interesting. >_<;; And there's so many cool peeps but they rarely come here. It stinks. XP Heck, maybe I'll even leave in the near future XP;

*dies*

*gets frightened of PSB* XD!!! Dude, don't worry! I won't leave unless my peeps leave, of course! XD I just said that just to warn peeps! XP I won't leave unless my friends leave of course XD

*shrugs* I dunno. I have been inactive lately. Due to my slow butt server. And I'll be waaaay more inactive when school starts. XD *two more weeks* Especially since I'm going to 10th grade (I'ma have LOTS of work to do) and I won't have much time for PC x.x;

*dies*

To be honest, I have hardly lost interest in PC. I still come here everyday, and look to see what new threads have been made, and what has been going on in DCC. Sure, I'll admit that some forums activity has slowed down a bit, but that is only because there are other forums that are getting more active!

So yeah, I'm still cool with PC, and have not lost interest at all. =)

I usually post a lot when I get on the school compie o.o; It usually is faster, but I hafta do it in secret. O_o; Thank God they haven't found out PC yet, I'd get in trouble XD; Hopefully the high school's computers will let me in o__o;

I think the real reason PC has lost interest is cus so many peeps are leaving. Especially the nice ones ;__;
