Are there any headcanons you have about the Pokémon anime?

Professor oak remembers Ash from when he was a kid (Celebi movie) and that's the reason he gave ash pikachu cause I really doubt Oak only had one Charmander squirtle and bulbasaur. He probably caught pikachu recognized it as ash's pikachu and probably boxed it for so long that that is the reason pikachu never goes back in his pokeball cause it probably scared of being in a ball for another 20 years or something

That actually would make sense jfuze. Do they ever give any explanation for why Pikachu doesn't like going in the Pokeball?

Something out there I thought of: Ash is really the product of an experiment performed by Team Rocket where he was given an anti-aging serum and Jessie and James keep chasing him because they were assigned to catch him and bring him back to headquarters. They tell him their mission is catching Pikachu because catching it and holding him hostage there is the only way they'd be able to get him into headquarters.

Probably that over time Ash becomes more and more famous and people recognise him as opposed to each region being self contained were it not for cameo appearances.
