4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

The Lapras? You mean the one that appeared at certain time? Well, if so then I think it could possibly make a comeback for the remakes.

Yeah. I don't think it's mentioned because it's not a new feature, and it's not really exclusive.

True, but the Lapras was pretty random. Wasn't it just there in the water?

i can soo see dialouge like

"We also have 2 other sisters, but they're training...I wonder when they'll be back..."
and you meet them post national dex, like everyone said

Did anyone think about their parents?
oh wow, never thought of that :>

Maybe after you get the national dex, two younger Kimono sisters will join and they have Leafeon and Glaceon. (Which will then include stronger re-battles with the original Kimono sisters)

This would be a good idea. After all it would be safe to have Leafeon and Glaceon then because it would be after the Elite Four. Plus it matches their theme as sisters.

I'll play a little devil's advocate here...I don't really think we'll get a new elemental type, but I think there's a slight possibility based on that quote. Remember, the original G/S was the ONLY new generation to ever introduce another elemental type, so it would be an interesting parallel if the remakes of those games were to introduce the next type.

I do not even know how you got to that conclusion..
Type!? New Type!? That's absurd.

If anything, it's
- A mistranslation (the rest of the grammar ain't so good)
- Element as in element of game-play. An example of a new
element was when Running Shoes were invented.

Thus, I presume the new element isn't a type, but more of a
game-play element..

It could very well be a mistranslation (as I mentioned in my first post), but right now that's all we have to go by. I find your second point to be lacking somewhat--only ONE new element? One would think that it would have multiple new elements, as FRLG did.

Won't be a new type, you people keep forgetting HGSS > DPPL trading.

*Sigh* And YOU people keep on forgetting that we were able to trade between G/S/C and R/B/Y. The original G/S introduced two new types, and they managed to work around the compatibility issues. ;)

Well actually Drifloon was important there because that was the only way you could catch it.

Anyways, I really wonder how Goldenrod City will look. We would have to wait and get some news about it. I just hope it doesn't look too, too golden. I mean in the older games everything in Goldenrod City was golden...absolutely everything!

RBY and GSC were 2 different generations.
Note how you couldn't trade from GSC to RBY, only RBY to GSC. Why? Because of compatibility issues.

If there was to be a new type in HGSS then you would only be able to trade DPPL Pokémon to it, but not HGSS to DPPL.

...I'm not quite sure where you're going with the line in bold. You could trade Pokémon back and forth between GSC and RBY, just as long as they weren't new GSC Pokémon.

People make too big of a deal about this compatibility issue. It's not hard at all for them to program a few restrictions into the game to prevent extra data from getting into previous games; heck, they did it all the way back in the days of GSC. You could even trade two Pokémon (Magnemite and Magneton) who had one of the new elements in GSC back to RBY; it would just lose the extra type when it reappeared in G1. It's not a stretch at all to say that Nintendo COULD add another elemental type, or even new Pokémon.

Whether they WILL is a completely different story. I don't believe they will, because, as you said, they'll probably wait until the next Generation (which is what I hope they do, by the way). My point is that there's no reason they couldn't.

Oh yeah, two new Kimono sisters post-National Dex. That'd be so cool. :D

Hey, maybe they'd be a double battle. An Ice-type and a Grass-type... It has the potential to be an interesting match-up, since most double battles have both trainers use Pokémon of the same or similar types. Then again, if you chose Cyndaquil, you'd be able to totally own them. :P Or if you'd even bothered to train a Fire-type. But still.

Maybe you'd meet/battle them in whatever special post-Elite Four area HG/SS has? No, I don't mean Kanto. :P Like the Johto-equivalent Battle Zone. I could see the Kimono sisters taking their Pokémon to some place like the Resort Area, maybe putting on a performance.

Anyway, that'd be neat. And now I wonder how they're going to handle Glaceon and Leafeon in HG/SS, since the locations where they evolve aren't in Johto/Kanto. Are you going to have to trade to D/P/Pl to get a Glaceon or Leafeon in HG/SS? Nintendo did the same thing with Espeon and Umbreon in FR/LG, so that wouldn't be surprising.

DPPt has some coding apparently for the remake of Johto, so maybe there are some features that just haven't been discovered as yet, because we never got the remake until later this year and the next.

I'd say that two new Kimono sisters will appear after you get the National Dex.

I say exactly what this guy says.

iI actually beg to differ. I believe they will just add two new more Kimono Sisters, and keep all the Eeveelutions that are made in the dex. Cuz without all of them, it would be wierd (which is why all new preevos and evos would be added as well).

Done.

Before the National Dex? I hope not. I mean, I love all of the Eeveelutions! <3
But it'll throw off the awesomeness of the remakes. Maybe they could make them re-battle you after the National Dex.

I wouldnt care if it was before or after. Since Im not expecting a 3rd installment I think the Pokedex will be done similarly to the Platinum dex.

I dunno, I just kind of assumed that GF would put all the 1st and 2nd gen Sinnoh evolutions into the Regional Dex with their pre/evos at the expense of some useless Kanto ones (GO BACK TO KANTO PIDGEY). Then they would just add in the two additional Kimono sisters with no pointless additional programming.
I mean really, why not? Because they're 4th gen? They could just as easily stick a Moss Rock in Ilex Forest and an Ice Rock in Ice Cave (And I hope they do--Screw nostalgia. There are 493 monsters out there, and I don't want another FR/LG. I want another Platinum ♥ That worked out very nicely).

I agree, we'll see two new sisters and i expect that we'll see them before getting the national dex, because as said, it's likely that all preevos and evos of Kanto and Johto Pokémon will be added to the dex.

Two new sisters should be introduced to you when you enter the house, but you can't face them because they're still in 'training'.

However, after you recieve the National PokeDex, the two new Kimono's are ready to face you. Oh, and the other sister's can have a rematch as well. At the rematch, can the foe's Pokemon be in the high seventies? I'd like a challenge please.
