    do you usually give your Pokémon items to hold? Which ones? do share.

    besides the EXP share I rarely bother with them tbh. I don't know what most of them do, and I've never really bothered to learn. Obviously in a competitive battling setting that's something that would never work out, but against AI trainers I tend to just grind to the point where I can beat them easily and don't need to rely on items for anything.
     
    Yeah, I actally try to give each team member an item if possible. Usually ends up being the same items like the Quick Claw, Amulet Coin and specific type boosting items such as Mystic Water, Spell Tag ect.
     
    Besides the EXP Share, I only give each Pokemon a held item to take on the Elite Four, it's usually something that relates to their type or boosts certain move types, comes in handy I guess :)

    This, pretty much, exception being in HG/SS where I recall you being able to get some pretty good items just lying around, like a Choice Scarf.

    There are other exceptions, too, like being able to get a Leftovers, like, halfway through X/Y, and the King's Rock in the Hoenn games, but more often than not, it's just items like the ones quoted.
     
    I mostly use items that boost this type tower or a item that boosts stats like the muscle band other than those two sets of items i barely use anything else Berries are a waste either way One time use only and a rather annoying task to get back.
     
    I always have one Pokemon hold an Amulet Coin, especially in X/Y because I want to buy ALL THE CLOTHES. I also always try to use the Rocky Helmet, usually on a Pokemon with lower Attack to give it a damage boost.
     
    Most likely berries such as sitrus or lum, other are strategical items like rocky helm and scope lens

    I can never find the damn things. I remember in Platinum, I looked all over the floor where it was supposed to be, even with the help of the item finder, it was difficult for me...so instead, I got whatever incense gave extra money, if such an item exists. Using memory here, it's been a while.

    As for hold items I use, if I even have any, they consist of berries and Mega Stones. I remember in Platinum again, I had a Choice Specs Tentacruel for lols. That's just in game, though. I pull out all the stops in competitive battling.

    That is me as well. I've been way addicted to Z-Moves that I haven't used my other held items.

    I mostly tend to equip stuff that raises power of a certain type, or another move that may benefit a certain move.
