    Hi there, I'm Fen and a newbie here.
    Lifelong trainer, 21 and into Pokemon more than ever. Half Japanese, so have been very lucky with the exposure I've had to this glorious world. I paint, draw, train and collect and look forward to many interesting conversations with you all about art, the games and TCG. I'm also interested in getting into some fanfic writing since I have a lot of free time since graduating university!
    Anyway, nice to meet you!
     
    It's great to see that you're into TCG! I used to be a collector myself, but eventually realized how money the cards had taken from me, which caused me to stop buying. Couple of years back, I've started purchasing again, but not as much as I used to; I limit myself to only about one to three packs per month. In total, I have more than five-hundred cards, I'm pretty sure, haha.

    Which Pokémon game would you say is your most favorite? For me, it'd likely have to be Emerald version; it's got aspects of both Ruby and Sapphire incorporated, which I've loved, and also has some extra features here and there such as Battle Frontier. I've gone through it for approximately seven times thus far. Second favorite are Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

    Oh yea, money is definitely a massive obstacle for me with the cards but, like you, I space out buying them. Usually reward myself for some accomplishment with cards XD although just came back from 3 months in Japan, wallet took a massive hit in Pokemon centres I can tell ya...

    I reckon Alpha Sapphire, bought it recently and have been absolutely glued. Brought back lots of memories of playing on GBA but with some of the amazing developments Pokemon has had recently - more generations and incredible advances in graphics. It was also the first time I'd experienced a 3DS, so that added to the awe. Watching dragon ascent or even surf becomes a spectacle in itself! Seven times is impressive, I don't know how you can say goodbye to your Pokemon so many times!

    Oh dang I'm late! But still having Japanese culture in your background is really interesting so it won't stop me saying hello! How are you enjoying things so far, Fenfen?

    OR/AS are definitely attracting so many fans right now, and given you likely adored 3rd Gen so much it's no surprise you're in love with the remakes. I still have to try and get through what is my least fave areas of Hoenn, but I'm sure I'll try and get to the end of the game in due time. Also, like the others said you will love all the fun topics around the forum so do explore and see what interests you!

    Wow cool part Japanese? Thats pretty cool! Do u speak any? I always wanted to learn Japanese because theyre cooler than us haha

    I also got alpha sapphire pretty great game i guess since i love hoenn and the 3rd gen :)

    Gah yeah you're so right haha. Pokemon is so amazing now and I swear my jaw drops when I compare R/B to OR/AS.. what a jump. Glad to see it's been growing as much as it has while continuing to be very popular. n~n Plan to play for my entire life if I can, lol.

    Anyways, welcome, Fen! Awesome to meet you. If you're an artist I do hope we'll see your work around the Art & Design board but overall there are a slew of things to do here regardless of if you're a big Pokemon fan or not. Everyone's quite friendly and from the looks of things you are too so hope you'll settle in. ;P

    (The Pokemon Center is awesome too wah. I'd love to go to one of them when I take a trip to Japan in the future! You lucky duck you.)
