Hello world, new user Intro. w/Question!

To be honest I am a person who finds himself doing 1000 at a time and can be quite a downfall at times. However I love the rush of living it up and trying to maximize my potential.

I had a question regarding advance map for which I apologize in "advance" (get it advance? map?) if I started the thread in the wrong section.

I seems that whenever I create a new map(which I stick to the W* and H* of most of the maps) Around the corners of the whole map this distored, blue wave-like tile is there. Almost as if the map was supposed to be bigger but lo luck.

I dont have a picture but its simple to understand (I think)
lets say my map is 24x40 the whole map is tiled like i made it but, all around it these blue tiles appear?

I am using Fire red, I thank you guys in "Advance"

We focus on greeting new members in The Welcome Lounge rather than answering questions so I'm sure you're going to have much, much better luck if you look around the Emulation board. :3 I recommend checking out the ROM hacking simple questions thread and our Tutorials subforum; there is a lot of information there that I'm sure you'll find helpful. There are a few Advance Map tutorials over there (1 and 2) if you haven't seen them yet so be sure to read through to get an idea of how that program works. I'm not a hacker so I can't help you out, I'm sorry! :( But there are so many talented hackers in Emulation that you'll definitely get an answer to your question. Good luck! I'm sure you'll make an awesome game for us to try out so make sure to keep working at it to get that game published. I'll be sure to be one of the first to try it out. What are your favorite hacks to play?

So you're here primarily for hacking, yeah? You're in a wonderful place since the Emulation board's so extensive and huge.. really hope you've already looked around a bit and found some useful things. Though there is quite a lot to do here even outside of hacking so consider poking around the forum as a whole, yeah?! I'm sure you're going to love it! You're free to discuss your favorite Pokemon games, show off your artwork, play games, and other cool things.

Hello Angel and welcome to the PC community!

Like what our awesome cutie Cirno said over there, we have loads of ROM hackers among the memberbase, so many you won't believe it. And since you mainly joined for the hacks you should head over to the Emulation & ROM Hacking section like what Cirno said. It's got loads of great hacks to play and resources you can use to make hacks. I can't help a lot since I don't hack but someone over there should be able to assist you, and I do hope your game turns out great!

However, it's not just hacks you will find here. PC is very diverse, with topics ranging from the Pokemon games to clubs, trading, battling or even just chit-chat. Remember to read the rules since we don't want to see new members getting into trouble. There's also the various staff members (like Cirno herself) or the Community Questions & Feedback section if you have a question. I'm sure you will enjoy it here at PC!

Welcome to the forums, Angel! It's lovely to see you here. Like the above said, you should probably direct your question at the Emulation & ROM Hacking section where you can get better attention for it, and a good answer. To be quite honest, I am not much of a ROM Hacker...I USED to be one but that was back three years ago when I was sooo into it. xD There's a few ROM hackers who might get to answer your question as well as help you out on what you need! :3

But aside from that, why not join the discussions around the forums? We have a section for each and every generation out there, including the 6th generation coming up! There's also discussions for everything else in the Pokemon fandom, as well as creativity discussions where you can show off your creativity. It's a lot of fun here btw! :D

Anyways, have a wonderful time here and...see ya around! Feel free to ask questions regarding the forum if you like! Cirno or another experienced member or staff member will answer whenever possible. :D

As a ROM hacker I'd love to answer your question, but sadly this is not the place. May I recommend the Simple Questions thread in Emulation and ROM hacking for an answer to your question?
