    I'm new to PC and I'm looking forward to having good discussions
    and making new friends. I'm currently a Physics major at a large state school,
    but I still find time for Pokémon, videogames, etc.
    Any advice as to how I can start being an active member of PC?

    Aagh.. I'm horrible at physics and science in general, it seems. xD; Biology was always one I was good at but once I took chemistry and psychics that all went downhill.

    Welcome to PC, Golurker! Friends are easy to come by here since the community is large and quite friendly. There are a lot of ways you can start getting acquainted with the forum - perhaps stop by Pokemon Clubs and Fan Clubs & Groups to join some clubs that catch your eye, chat in the new Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire board, discuss pretty much anything off-topic in Chit Chat Cafe as well as other things.

    I'd love to go into more detail so feel free to private message me anytime (for any reason). Good luck and enjoy. :)

    But yes, we all have to have the time to play Pokemon and Video games because hooray for them too! Are you excited about the R/S remakes?! Cause they're the talk of the fans right now! Mmm, so you know, if you want to get started, maybe just view around the forum, and see what you like, we have many pokemon boards around here, and off topic ones like video games and chit chat cafe, etc! <33

    Hi there, welcome to the forums! It's great that you still find time for gaming while attending college. There's a pretty rad Video Games section here, but the section for Pokemon Black/White is looking for some love, too. :D

    I have to wonder, is Golurk your favorite? I used him as my Fly user, but I've also used Volcarona in another file, haha. Feel free to contact me if you need a friend, hope to see ya around.
     
    Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I am very excited for the hoenn remakes of course... maybe too much haha. I can't wait until they release some gameplay footage and details about features.

    Yes I would say Golurk is one of my favorites, but I have a soft spot for Aggron and Flygon too.
     
    I was so surprised I missed this thread for some weird reason, but oh well I'm here now. So hey there Golurker and welcome to PC! I know you're happy because of the Hoenn remakes, I really can't wait to relive my old memories of Hoenn as well.

    I don't really have much to leave as the others have already covered the boards you might be interested in, but yeah about OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire I really love how we're finally getting the Hoenn remake we all wanted for years, it's like I'm going back 11 years to when I played the original Ruby and Sapphire where I was only new to Pokemon games. I'm planning to take Mudkip as my Hoenn starter once again when the remakes roll around.

    So, I hope you have a great time here and I'll be seeing you around! Ask any of the staff in bold usernames if you have questions or concerns.
