Well, today, I was leaving my HS for lunch. with my friends. When we come back, I see the bridge is blocked of. Mad cops are on Motorcycles and stuff. After the bridge is reopened, I ask a cop what was going on, and he said "The president drove by" Im like WTF!!!

When school was over, the same thing happened. So we waited. And guess what? I saw Barack Obama in one of those cars surrounded with hords of police.

I was totally dumbstruck, so my question to you is, what would you have done? And also, what would you tell your friends? (My friends don't belive me, coincidently...)

I'd shake his hand. He was left with a mess, and people are hating on him for not fixing an 8 year f*ck up in 3 months. I salute him, he deserves it.

Lolz, what I would have done to, if it weren't for those cops.

I was really thinking about chucking a textbook at his car, though that would be like what, 100 years in jail? Lolz

Basically this. Even though the chances of him coming to a small town in England are scarily remote. ^.^

I love you. Everyone who hates him for not fixing something that cant even be fixed in 4 year in just 3 months are complete idiots.

    I would have walked away, I hate meeting new, especially new-important people. ;;

I would've dug my own grave if I ever got close enough to him >.>
But if I somehow got a free pass, I'd tell him to grow a mustache, and maybe shake his hand also. Mustaches always look cool, especially the fu manchu.

Do even a lot of people hate him? When I saw him, mad people (The guys even) were yelling "I love you, Obama!!!!: Lolz

I yelled out Joe Biden by mistake...got tricked. Lolz.

I would have been like "STOP VACATIONING AND TRY RUNNING YOUR DANG COUNTRY!" Lol.

I would just ignore him I hate that idiot.

I'd tell the guy to stop relying on starpower to stay popular and to actually do some damn work. >_>

I admired his policy during the election even if I voted against him, but he's doing a mediocre job at the moment, and people are still blindly defending him as the second coming. >_<

I'd shake my head at the (a) mindless idol worship or (b) mindless hatred that people would undoubtedly be flinging his way and continue going wherever I was going. If there weren't many people and he wasn't busy (as if, he's the President), I might chat him up; he seems like a pretty all right guy. I might try to get an autograph or something so I could sell it on eBay.

Well, I'd probably observe from a distance since...that's the only thing I can do as an ordinary Canadian >_<

....I think I just found my new online best friend :P

Barack Obama still hasn't come to Utah. He promised during his campaign that he would visit every state, and as I far as I know he's been to every single one but Utah... I don't really blame him though, because the time he was going to make his visit here during the campaign it happened to correspond with the funeral of the President of the LDS (Mormon) Church. Still, I'm disappointed.

LOL @ the people who are like "I hate Obama, grrr." Even if you disagree with the guy you shouldn't hate him as a person. I thought Bush was an idiot, but I didn't hate him.

If I ever met him I'd like to sit down and talk about issues, try to become better on them myself and maybe even give him an idea or two. Am I the only one? Or are there others here who'd actually want to have an intelligent conversation with him? The thing is, at least he's smart. That and with the fact I'm 15 and really only have Bush to use as a standard, but he doesn't seem to be doing a bad job, he just hasn't been able to do much with the Republicans creating havoc through Fox News and other scare tactics.

Well, that'd be a WTF moment for me. It's not like the president would ever come to a hick town like the one I live in, anyway. I'd probably just observe from a distance, although I do have a lot of questions for our president. *nods*

I thought Bush was an idiot...
    How so?

If I actually got a chance to talk to Barrack, I'd ask him when he was going to start listening to the people and what it would take for him to understand that nobody wants public health care.

What makes you think that? The only people I've seen who oppose it are in two groups, the much larger who are largely influenced by scare tactics, and a much smaller group with legitimate reasons against it.

EDIT: And then there's probably a good portion of the population that goes along with whatever side they like better, though that group is probably around half and half in size.

    CNN said:
The poll also indicates that Americans remain split on the president's plans on health care reform, with 51 percent favoring Obama's proposals and 46 percent opposed.

I apologize, I misspoke when I said nobody, but it is a very large group. Granted there is a slight upper hand for approval, but not everyone is informed on what a public option will do to the health care industry. Now I'm not saying that his whole plan isn't legitimate, but a public option has the potential to do more harm than good.

Do remember both the ones who you say don't understand the possible harm, and also the ones that by into the scare tactics, together being a good percentage. Its unfortunate society is like that, lacking much intelligent argument and coming down to whoever can shout the loudest.

To have the potential basically means that the bill isn't perfect. Though it could just as easily, and in my opinion, much more likely, do quite a bit more good than harm.

Though we're probably getting off subject, so I'll let you have your last word if you wish to take it.
