HG/SS Help Thread

Alright, thank you. Hopefully I can beat Lance with 20 revives and 60 full restores XD I always die at him.
 
Lance is Stealth Rock weak...

FAINT status replaces ALL status. So if "Pokemon" is hit with something, faints, using a Revive acts as a restorative.

A Rare Candy works in a similar, if wasted, manner.
Sacred Ash as well. Herbal item could be used.

Dragonite, Lapras, Sneasel, Piloswine... etc. Ice and Dragon-types are Super Effective against his crappy little Dragonites.

After you have captured all 26 Unown, another area is opened up in the main entrance to the ruins after talking to one of the researchers. This area contains only the ! and ? Unown and will allow you to complete your Unown Report dex and complete the Unown Sidequest itself

Is there a time trick that works on the Safari Zone? If so, how do you do it? I tried putting the clock months into the future to make Pokemon like Riolu appear, but it didn't work. Yes, I have the right blocks.
 
I have 12 badges on Soul Silver, and my map is stuck on the Johto region both my pokegear map and my fly map wont go over to the Kanto region,
before you suggest it, i both re beat the elite 4, and re talked to the guy that tells you to look at your map when you get to Kanto, when im in Kanto, the marker will be over me in kanto, but i cant see the kanto map, and if i slide it to johto it wont slide back into kanto, and its a HUGE hindrance, i have 180+ pokemon in my national dex, and i have many rare pokemon on there that i pal park'ed over to it, and at least 20+ level 60-100 pokemon. so i cant afford to restart, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
 
try to fly to the pokem leauge then fly agian to any place in kanto thats what i did

see thats the problem, i cant even get it to show the pokemon leage, and i did that too, to no avail, and if im in kanto i can fly to places in kanto, including the E4, but i cant fly to the E4 from Johto, and the only way i can get to the heart of kanto atm, so i can get my rail pass, and to get the badges, i have to wait until tomorrow and take the SS Anne, GOD, i hate the SS Anne, even if i can sleep it away.
 
well your only option is walk there or ss.anne im afriad thats all i can think of sorry if im no help XD
 
this is g**, everytime i save at ecruteak city, nosgba gives me "The rom-image has crashed" halp plz! lol.
AND this is the (U) version. no patches. the real english version.

but you've got somthing wrong with your emulator or the settings are wrong

its fine, lol, tomorrow is monday so the ss anne will set sail soon, haha
and it might be bc i used an AR to get a masterball b4 claire, so i could get my Raikou easily, but i tossed the masterball elm gave me, bc i still think there should be only one masterball.

I'd advise you go to the Emulation section and check the HGSS ROM help thread sticky there - don't ask rom questions here please.

It's not that there should be only ONE Masterball. You can actually get another one from Goldenrod Radio Tower. ;)
 
Gah, where's the best place to train pre-elite-four? D=

I need to grind up for the Elite Four and Victory Road is getting weak...

That and it's hard to train Togetic.

Victory Road... lol

I'm almost done grinding to 50 there. It takes about 4-6h to grind six unevolved Pokemon there from 45-50.
