Hi there Alpha, and welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll be excited to see what's around. Why not tell us more about yourself so we can get to know you? It'd be awesome to hear what interests you.
If you're looking for somewhere to get help, there's a quick Q&A thread in Community Feedback & Support which is just above this section on the main page, but there's also similar threads in a few other sections, such as the Pokemon sections if you have questions about the Pokemon games, and ROM Hacking also has one for hack-based questions. Other than that, you're always free to contact any staff members (bolded blue, orange and red usernames) when you're in need of them and I'm sure they will be able to assist.
But don't worry, you'll be fine here and if you're still lost you can consider reading the rules to see what you can and can't do here. Anyhow, good luck with sticking around and enjoy your time here.
