Speculate here about the possible methods of obtaining Pokemon with hidden ability in these remakes.

Personally I would like to see Gen II Pokemon with hidden abilities obtainable from Prof. Birch after one fills his or her Hoenn Pokedex, just like how you could obtain the regular Gen II starters in Emerald.

Maybe it could be like Hidden Grottoes in BW2, but with secret bases. If you decorate a certain way, it attracts pokemon, and those pokemon will have hidden abilities? Like, you have a jar of honey out and bug pokemon appear, with the species depending on location? I dunno, spitballing here haha.

I kinda forsee an updated Friend Safari with more Pokemon available inside of it. Don't really see Hidden abilities playing a huge active role in the game since they aren't original and the remakes tend to stay as close to the original game play as possible. Since its confirmed to be just another remake, stands to reason the extra features like hunting for Hidden abilities may play a post game role.

I think they would be making some kind of Wish Park or something of that sort, where you could link with other games and unlock access to the Dream World and other Pokémon with Hidden Abilities. Perhaps we could also get mega stones that way.

yeah but abilities weren't in the original games but they were still in Fire Red and Leaf Green so why wouldn't the hidden abilities be in Hoenn too?

Personally, I think they might as well get rid of this gimmick and turn them into rare abilities (or anything else along the line, really); you should be able to find Pokémon with these type of abilities in wild, but chances would be reduced to the lowest percentage. That way, value of these Pokémon would be increased pretty heavily, making them go head-to-head with shinies. =)

    No No NO NO!
I kinda liked friend safari because they allow quite easy way of gettng HA.... I think Hoenn Safari might be replaced as Friend Safari and HA would not be unlocked untill after you complete the game ( like X and Y?)

I'd like for Hidden abilities to just be extremely rare abilities, and just take off the complications that came with the contrivance. These Pokemon with rare, useful abilities would become expensive and hard to find, forcing trainers to hunt for one with the ability they desire. That would improve the current mechanic of Hidden abilities.

There are Several Kalos Pokemon whose abilities are still unreleased. Perhaps the ORAS Safari will release them.

Often times, DW abilities are too powerful for the Main Game. (the main being too easy to start with.)

Putting DW abilities in Friend Safari made th ewhole thing easier to manage AND succeeded in forcing people to trade Friend Codes and trade with each other. A core element of the game.

I actually want like there would be a random chance of actually encountering a HA Pokemon in the wild since it would kinda fit the theme that Hoenn is diverse and a natural paradise. Either that or bring back the shaking grass, dark grass, etc and have like a 50% chance of encountering one I guess? Idk lmao.

I'd like it if they started making every wild pokémon have a roughly 2% chance of having their hidden ability, but that chance raises to somewhere around 20%-30% under certain circumstances such as horde battles, looking in hidden grottoes, shaking grass/rippling water/dust clouds, Friend Safari, etc...

I did not read the other posts so some one could have said this already but anyway....

hidden ability's could become just an alternate ability

    like Tauros

    X&Y
    Intimidate or Anger Point
    Sheer Force-Hidden Ability

    omega ruby alpha sapphier

Intimidate or Anger Point or Sheer Force

Friend Safaris were a really nice addition and I think it would be nice if they returned in ORAS n_n Especially with Pokemon being all about connecting with people these days, it's nice to have a motivation to do so.
