To all of our US Military veterans, Thank you for your service to our country. We join the rest of the nation and the world on Veterans Day in remembering the sacrifices of America's 25 million veterans and expressing our appreciation for your service.

This U.S. holiday stretches back to the end of World War I and commemorates the nation's thousands of combat veterans who fought in the service of their country.

Here is to the US Military Verterans who risked their lives to allow the people of today live and have what we have now. If it wasn't for them, we can sure bet our souls that life today wouldn't be the way it is now. So, thanks to them and their service to their country.

I'd also like to mention, it is quite sad that a majority of homeless people in the US are actually US Veterans. After all they have done, they gain little to no support from their American people, but rememberence of only what they have done. Thanks to Veterans Day it gives a moment of time to recognize all what they have done and how it important they really are. I just wish more people would consider things this way and notice how important these men and women really are and what they have done for the people and their country.

We're lucky to live in a country where our military service isn't compulsory and yet we still treat the men and women who do serve our country like crap. >:C I'd say guys, that you should make a pledge this year guys to serve our vets for the entire year and go out of your way to let them know just how much you appreciate them. No matter what your take on the war and the politics behind it, the solider is not a monster for following the orders of his commanding officer who follows the orders of his commanding officer and so forth. They're just trying to make a living and serve our country and because of that, I think we should celebrate our men and women who wear the uniform more than once a year.

To any vets on PC, thank you for what you do, thank you for coming home safe, and thank you for all your unseen hard work in keeping this country safe. ^^

We can't thank them enough. Period. *salutes*

As my way of honoring all who served, I revamped my Bulbagarden forums profile in honor of Veterans Day. I can't show it to you now because

    1) I reset it to the normal design this morning.
    2) Apparently I can't post links until I've made at least 15 posts. *EVILMONKEYRAGE*

    ...in America.

Unless it's international Veteran's day (which it certainly is not), it seems pretty stupid to be leaving out the other nations. This is an international community after all. I think that those who fight for other countries, even those who fight against us, still fight as strongly, if not stronger, for what they believe in, even if it isn't what we agree with.

Why celebrate a holiday in an international community that only applies to one country? It doesn't make sense to me. I salute the troops, but that doesn't mean that those that aren't American don't deserve to be recognized.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Honoring Those who Serve

I'm just kidding. Sort of. It's always been like that here though. Christmas and Thanksgivings Day and so on so forth. And my complete gratitude for those soldiers world wide who have the strength and courage to do what they've done for their country.

I honor our troops in the time of need. Thanks to them we live in a safe place. Thanks for fighting for our freedom. *salutes*

It's pretty close to Canada's Remembrance Day...

Besides, since its headquarter's in the United States, I think PokeCommunity should be allowed to have some American identity :/

Anyways, I give thanks to the American troops who has made the world a safer place for millions, and also to the good men and women of other countries' militaries who has contributed to the effort.

It's really wonderful that people are willing to go to war to serve their country to make it a better place. Kudos to you Veterans.

I agree, it wasn't just American troops, but world wide troops who gave their lives.

    I thank them all.

In fairness it was British rememberance day on wednesday, and if it wasn't for the brave and hard fighting of the British, Canadians, Australians, Japanese (yes, they were allies in ww1 iirc) French and Russians as well as the fighting and sacrifices of the Americans, we'd be in a very different world today. Of course, even those on the other side were fighting for what they thought was right.

So I'd like to put this post out to all soldiers who fought in the great war, and a tremendous thank you to the allies.

I'd like to thank every veteran. But naturally, on US veterans day, I have to thank the soldiers of my country who fight for freedom.

Yep . Even tough I am not an American , I a,ways admired the US for their veterans' being puished to the most extreme limit . Kudos . Period . To you . Period . Veterans . Period .

Ah, America too honours their military on the eleventh of November? That's England's remembrance day, too. ^_^
It's good that we remember the sacrifice they made for us, even though I'm a pacifist and therefore disapprove of war. They had no choice, and they were certainly extremely brave. The two remembrance services I went to, one in Church on Remembrance Sunday, and one in school on Wednesday, both moved me to tears. All those poor people who lost their lives...

Still, their legacy lives on, and it's because of them we can live as we do. Their sacrifices weren't in vain, and they died with honour. =]
