I might just buy a 4.5 3DS and a Gateway cart so I could inject hoopa and Volcanion into My Pokemon X version.

So now that Diancie's distribution date has been confirmed, when do you all speculate the other 2 legendaries will be made available?

I'm anticipating something in 2015......perhaps Hoopa first as for a tie in as to why its being distribution I have no idea.

As for Volcanion, I'm guessing by the end of 2015 in conjunction with the release of Pokemon Z if such a thing is to be released?

What are your thoughts on why/when etc they will be released?

It will probably be a ORAS event, not XY. I doubt that the event will be in 2015. To be honest my guess would be it will probably be the first or second event within ORAS. And why does everyone expect a Pokemon Z version? They dont always make a third game. If anything Sigma Emerald would be thought of first. I honestly dont see Pokemon Z ever happening otherwise they would have already made it instead of ORAS. Anyways back to the subject Hoopa and Volcanion will more then likly be ORAS exclusive with the ability to move them between the XY and ORAS as speculated with all the other pokes and events.

Wouldn't it be a little weird though for a Pokemon to have it's first event NOT in the region it's a part of? Volcanion and Hoopa are Kalos Pokemon, so shouldn't their first event be in Kalos, not Hoenn?

Also, people expect a Z version because that's what typically happens with the games. There's only been one instance of them not making a 3rd version, and that was last gen with Black2/White2. A Z version (or some other Kalos game) is more likely than an Emerald remake because it's kinda pointless to remake Emerald when we're getting R/S remakes, and they seem to be sticking to the formula more this gen after trying to deviate from it last gen.

Lol, none of that makes any sense in regards to justifiying no Pokemon Z:

1) Yes, they've ALWAYS made a 3rd version, and in the case of Black and White, they made a 3rd AND 4th version (Black 2, White 2)

2) Why would they make an Emerald remake? THAT'S where they've never done a third game in the series: The remakes of Fire Red and Leaf Green never had a Yellow version, the remakes of Heart Gold and Soul Silver never had a Crystal remake.

3) WHY would they have made Pokemon Z already? Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire came out, THEN Fire Red and leaf Green THEN Emerald. They didn't release Emerald before the remakes, so why would they release Z before teh remakes now?

4) Remember all the people that said there were clues for the Hoeen remakes and everyone ridiculed and dismissed their claims until they actually WERE announced?

5) They wouldn't have called the games X and Y if there was going to be no Z, otherwise the games would have been called Y and Z. Contrary to what people think, they don't just wake up one weekend and bang out a full pokemon game and ship it out monday, the games take a VERY long time before they're made, and they plan quite a long time in advance before they make the games, so they knew exactly what games they were going to be making before they even announced publicly when X and Y were coming out. X and Y were announced a year before it hit store shelves, Smash Brothers same deal, especially when all the pokemon games in a given generation need to be compatible with each other, they all need to be planned out to ensure compatibility. Why else would the mega evolved versions of Latios and Latias be in the current games' programming if they hadn't already planned them long before the ORAS remakes were ever announced?

Your forgetting Heart Gold and Soul Silver, yeah they were remakes but they didnt make Crystal. If they were going to make a pokemon Z they would have already announced it or will announce it soon since the release of ORAS is coming up in 2 months. Also on the note about Hoopa and Volcanion alot of people think ORAS will be backwards compatible with XY. Usually after a new game is made the previous game doesnt get anymore events as it has been with all the other gens. So seeing as though ORAS is coming im sure that the shiny Gengar and Diancie are going to be the last events for XY. Besides that ORAS will jave the national dex so it wouldnt be too weird.

Not true. In Generation IV, events existed for D/P/HG/SS. Check the events list and you'll see events obtainable in both. Platinum also got events with Diamond and Pearl.

And Gen. V. B/W/B2/W2 has events in all four games that were the same. I think there were a couple exclusive to B2/W2, however.

I don't think X/Y will be completely gone yet. When Z comes, then when Hoopa and Volcanion appear, they'll be in X and Y as well. Worst case scenario, they can be transferred.

I think one will be announced/released in the first quarter of 2015, followed by the remaining in the final quarter of 2015 just before Generation VII is announced. 8)

I don't really know, but 2015 is probably a good guess; bring a little interest back to X and Y after the hype of ORAS's release dies down a bit.

All I ask is that they make it a worldwide WiFi distribution and not this serial code **** we've been getting lately.

I couldn't agree more. I don't know what the heck GameFreak is doing with all this serial code nonsense, but stahp. Seriously. Just stahp it GF.

I don't believe there will be a 3rd ORAS. I do believe there will be a Pokemon Z after Pokemon ORAS is announced and died down after a year.

November 2014 - Pokemon ORAS
Fall/Winter 2015 - Pokemon Z
2016/2017 - We will see Pokemon 7th Gen

Anyways to stay on topic I think they will be announced with the movies.

That seems about on track with the previous gen releases (about 3 years between Red and Blue and Gold and Silver, 3 years between Gold and Silver and Ruby and Sapphire but 4 years between Ruby and Saphire and Diamond and Pearl, 4 years between diamond and pearl and Black and White and 3 years between Black and White and X and Y)

Your a bit wrong on black and white and B2 W2. But you are correct I've read a statement from Game Freak they are not and I repeat "are not." Patching x and y to be backwards compatible with the new Mega Evolutions in ORA. But Z will come next year and the following year it'll be the first 2 of Gen 7, and then they'll either give us the third in the holy trinity of the new gen and then the Sinnoh remakes, or the Sinnoh remakes and the final one of gen 7's holy trinity.

First, they're not a trinity, otherwise they would have come out together. They are 3 unrelated legendaries (like Meloetta, Keldeo, Genesect)

Second, where are you getting that there will be sinnoh remakes at all (this gen)? the Sinno games are still fully playable on the current 3DS, so why would they remake them? The whole point of the remakes are for games that are not playable on the current gen (well that, and to make money! ;-) )

Third, they don't make future generations compatible with previous generations, so they're not going to make Volcanion and Hoopa as part of gen 7, but put their data in the gen 6 games. They are gen 6 legendaries and will come out in gen 6 games.
