    Hi everyone!

You can call me Starfish or Hitode, either or would be fine. I really love meeting new people, if you want to know, and am always willing to hit someone up for a chat. I can get pretty busy quickly, though, which is my fair warning... nonetheless, I would love to be spoken to!

When it comes to Pokemon, I find myself most interested in the biology, ecology, anatomy, physiology, and so on of Pokemon, and I particularly love discussing the possibilities of long-term evolution (not the actual metamorphic "evolution" we see in the game) and how Pokemon have changed over the years. I also enjoy talking about how other Pokemon would interact with one another, and Pokemon-human interactions (I almost wrote "Pokehuman relations" before thinking that that sounds super weird lol). So please talk to me about any of these topics!

I also am particular to the mythology and general stories that are told within the Pokemon universe, and how that applies to a lot of the cultural thinking that each region has (since ever region is different, of course, in its culture). But this is primarily because IRL I plan on getting a BA in Anthropology. And also, I love a lot of linguistics and linguistic theory within the Pokemon regions!

If you cannot tell, I can be pretty over-analytical with the things that I enjoy. Doubly if you cannot tell, I love Toxapex and Mareanie, though my fave region is probably Sinnoh, honestly.

Nice meeting everyone, and I would love to talk!

(P.S. I do not usually text like this lol. I typically would have way less actual punctuation and uppercases, but I figured it might be good to use.)

    Hello, Welcome to PokeCommunity

Everyone I know here is very friendly and talkative, I love to interact with new people, but am simply bad with puting what I'm trying to say into words, specially because English isn't my native language.

Did you play all the generations of the Pokémon main series games?

Hello Hitode, and welcome to the forums!
How about meeting new Pokémon ? PokéCommunity's number one fact-checker here! ^^
I am a busy Gardevoir but I am always up for chatting and new friends!

These topics are really interesting! I also like to chat about stuff like that, and about if Pokémon use their claws, teeth, etc... as predators and prey, or rather to defend themselves, defend or take a territory, while they would only feed on Berries and stuff ; if most Pokémon are quite sentient and could learn to speak ( -> TR's Meowth), and on their rights, on those who would be independant, own a home, have a job, etc...
Mareinie's line is great indeed! You can easily guess which Pokémon is my second favourite! ^^

It is nice to meet you too, and I look forward to chat with you!

    Hi Cyddeon :0

I have played a majority of the games lol, unfortunately I have not yet played the first generation though! I've been really wanting to, especially because my partner is doing so now, and I think it would be really fun to (though, from what I see, the game is very slow going). I also need to play the original third generation, but I have played Alpha Sapphire.

As for the games I have played: Crystal, Platinum (doing a replay of it :D), Y (another replay!), Sun/Moon, and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.

I hear that BW/BW2 is really good, though that IS from my partner, and she really likes N, so maybe that is her bias.

I can sometimes also struggle putting things into the right words; though, that is mostly because I struggle a lot with knowing what words to say. Would love to talk more though!

I would love to talk! A lot of Pokemons' physiologies are simply fascinating subjects - a lot of the Pokemon seem to have a higher cognitive reasoning, and I think that makes the interactions with humans a hot topic so to speak. If you ever want to talk about anything like this, I would love to, but I will say I am not accustomed with any of the Switch games :,)

Very cool! I actually played all of those you mentioned above too, and I'd say BW/BW2 are very good indeed, I'd say it's not your partners bias, on my opinion, the 5th gen of the pokémon games had the best story line.

Me neither! I would say I stop at Alola's generation!
And I am up for it! For physiologies, I like to think Pokémon at first were sticking to their species evolutions' first stage, and only with time got their second stage, then third. And for those with evolutions' branches, acquired them in the fitting climate, areas and conditions!

Hello there and welcome to the PC!

Cool avatar Pokemon pick! I got to see just how fun Toxapex was to use in battle during one of my playthroughs of one of the Gen 9 games! (she even glitched the game during certain cutscenes for some great comedy lol) What makes that line stand out to you?

Oh yeah, Toxapex gets SUPER annoying to play in competitive, too, just because of how bulky it is and the abilities that it has. But, I think the main thing that stood out about it was just that I thought Toxapex was really cool and Mareanie was super cute. I'm about to do another UM playthrough, and I definitely want Toxapex to pretty much be my ace/at least in my team.

LOL yeah I mean I definitely don't know too much about the actual storyline, but from what I hear, it is pretty sad and Ghetsis is incredibly awful. But I think that's how it went with anything pre-gen 7 for their antags, except for gen 3 (Maxie and Archie <3). All of them were pretty messed up in some way.. but Cyrus is probably my favorite if not only because of the way that the MC and everyone kinda just. keeps him in there. In the shadow realm.

Me neither! I would say I stop at Alola's generation!

Oh yeah, the only Pokemon I know from the newer gens is probably Tinkaton, and I'm not even 100% sure if that's the right name.

But, all of those aspects are super interesting - another thing I'm curious about is the effects of human interaction on physiology, whether through breeding or general taming; or, even, if it is in the way that the Pokemon act, since we do see pretty distinct differences (at least in the anime, IMO, but it's been awhile since I've watched it too) between purely wild, wild but caught, bred, and so on.

    Hello!

If you need to save money I personally wouldn't bother with the original Black/White. B2W2 are an upgrade in every possible way.

How'd you like Pokemon Contests, if you've done them in ORAS and Platinum? Did you prefer the Sinnoh ones or the Hoenn ones?
Hahaha, I don't spend money on any of the games anymore. I want to know what BW and BW2 are like separately! I mean, I also played SM/USUM.

And to be honest, I'm very, very, very bad at Pokemon Contests. I did them better in ORAS, though, I'd say... I don't know why, but I just found the Platinum contests weirdly difficult in comparison. Though, it's been awhile since I played ORAS so I might be misremembering how it was.

Oh, I can probably expand more on the BW part. My laptop was just close to dying; my brother has pretty much every Pokemon game, so I don't really need to buy any more games unless I want to play any Switch games (which I don't really want to, except for ZA).
